Absolutely brilliant. 6 year old has spent ages with it. Just a shame they don't provide more paper

Should I buy a Spirograph or a Ravensburger Spiral Designer?
Our 10 year old granddaughter certainly seemed to to think this was a good Christmas present as she started trying it out as soon as it was unwrapped. There's no doubt that the Spirograph that our kids grew up with and used to be the only choice at that time was of much better quality of the ones they produce now. The current Spirograph is just not up to the job so we opted for the Ravensburger Spiral Designer as it seemed to be better made and did all the same things that could be done with a Spriograph. Although the Ravensburger still doesn't match the original Spirgraph (of 30 years ago) for quality it now seems to be the better of the two products hence the 4* rating. Reasonable value but quality could be improved.

brilliant spirograph set, its come a long way from when I was little, the paper is firmly held in place by the frame, no need for pins and no frustrating slips half way through!

Fun but paper is frustrating.
This is really good and fun and reminded me of being younger. Slight flaw to it is that the paper for the template has to be cut down to size every time and is a waste of paper. Only comes with 2 pens so buying extra pens is advised.

Nice little gift for kids
Bought as a gift and has been used quite a lot

Nice product, lots of drawing fun!
My daughter, 5 years old, loves this and is very concentrated when making new patterns and pictures for family and friends. Material seems fine and fit for purpose, colours are nice. The two pens that come with it did not last very long (so one star less), however, the spirals also work with the fine end of felt pens.
