I'm stick to this model for many years. It's great!
I have been buying this model for many years, and each time the pair lasts about 3 to 4 years due the great quality. Thanks to the Gore-tex membrane, I wear it in any season, only the socks are different. This is the 5-th pair. I am glad that once, thanks to discounts at Cabelas (in its best days), I found my model of boots for every day, and I continue to stick to this model that does not disappoint me, unlike others. Always the same size, always comfortable and light, always GTX version.

Truly waterproof and a good looking functional boot
Gore Tex is the only waterproofing I've found that is, in fact, truly effective. I can't claim to have tried them all, but of those I have tried, the result was, across the board, varying levels of disappointment. I can say that the word Gore-Tex in the description is almost certainly going to add a double digit lift to the pricetag. But in this case, and at a sale price, I have found this boot to more than fill the bill. A Wide size, I was initially concerned as to the fit, but with the thicker sock appropriate for this type of boot, it is amply comfortable. I haven't used it for off-trial hiking or foraging, so I can't speak to wear issues in this regard. I wanted a boot for rain and wet conditions, working outside and walking for exercise and this boot has more than filled the bill. I can't speak to environemental concerns, snow use, or heavy-duty backpacking trail considerations, biut for every day use in wet weather, this boot, even in a later design, I would say is a value oriented and effective, highly wearable product worth consideration.

Nice lightweight shoe
Easy on feet, relatively light, seems well built so far.

Not really a hiking boot
While these are well made with good quality materials, I would not classify them as a true hiking boot.... more of a hiking style casual shoe. The soles and body are far too soft for anything but stroling on a well maintained trail. Having said that, they are quite comfortable for every day wear - as long as you're not a hard core trail guide

Great Look and Comfort
Comfortable right out of the box. Laces are about the right length. Will update later.

Best Boots I've Ever Had
I bought these for a Colorado trip since I only had hiking shoes and thought we'd see snow. We did. Regardless, my feet stayed warm and dry and I didn't develop any blisters or hotspots. They lace and tie up nicely. The traction was great on dry and dusty and then powdery and snowy. Were were there a week, hiked RMNP or Estes everyday, and they still look brand new. Great boots!
