Hello, thank you for your inquiry. We do not have a specification as to how "scratch resistant" or shock proof" the crystals are. The rate of scratching that may occur will vary by user, depending on how the watch is used and what it is subjected to. The mineral crystal that is anti-reflective was made to prevent scratches but is not scratch resistant. Although it is not as resistant to scratches as sapphire, it is much better than plastic. The band is very comfortable. I have never found it to be uncomfortable any time I have worn the watch.
