Perfect and cheap hot water solution
We removed our gas boiler and radiators before insulating the inner walls. This is the perfect solution to having hot waterWhere you would usually have to spend a fortune on an electric boiler system for your water. We have got these in bathroom sink andkitchen. Couldn't ask for a better solution2p or 3p to wash up as appose to the 30p gas when I had it. But cost nothing to run when solar is installedThough it runs slower than conventional systems which means for us we tend to use less water when washing up. Win winCheap and good way to help decarbonise your home.

Water leaking from centre point!
Not advices to purchase. Although the product does what it is advertised to do and turns water warm, it’s very flimsy! After being used after a couple of months water starting leaking out of the centre piece, dripping down the lead into the electrics!

Perfect with a few small adjustments
The media could not be loaded. Considering the price which is less than the heated handwash units and it does the same thing I really can't complain much. But beware that you should make a few small adjustments while installing..First of all the black connector hose should be replaced because the supplied washers are tapered and not flat and these leak half the time.. You really have to tighten alot to avoid this and constantly check.. it better to just either didg out the washers and put in flat rubber washers or just uses a double female end standard hose ..And the next thing is the plug. If the output is more than 2kw it should be installed with a isolater switch and not a standard plug in because the plug will get very hot if used for a prolonged period of time.. That's why I cut of the plug and direct wired it.Last thing the screw in faucet neck is not that great and a bit flimsy but if your careful it should be fine and when installing use a water isolater and reduce the water to about half or less and it works out fine

Quite impressive
This is my 3rd electric tap. The first two didn’t last long and were made with very cheap plastic. This one is stainless steel and has been working great so far. Only downside is the temperature in the display doesn’t always seem to be realistic but that’s not a big issue. It does make the water warm to a reasonable amount which I was quite surprised. You have to control the flow with the valve to adjust water temperature. So far happy with the purchase.

The jury’s out a bit on this….. it does work, but…..
I installed this on Friday evening and have we lived with it over the weekend. It does provide warm water quickly for hand washing, but if you want quite hot water for washing up etc, it isn’t that great. In order to get the temperature up to above 40°c you have to set it to trickle out and it takes ages. The shower type spray makes it feel like you’re getting more, but this causes the water to spray out at bit where you don’t want it. This can be taken off but it’s not a great a stream and makes the tap quite noisy. The build quality is ok, and reflective of the price. I think if this was more like £100-150, it would benefit from better materials, but really, I guess it’s only going to be as good as the heating element and how much it can heat as the water flows through the tap.I was a bit annoyed from the beginning really, as in order to test it properly, I had to cut the plug off. The hole in the sink for the tap to fit in, is no way big enough for a uk plug. It’s not rocket science re-striping and wiring a plug, but you will need a new plug from somewhere - unless you are plugging it into the mains on counter level. The tap looks good enough, but I think I should have got one with a lower form factor, as it is just too high up from the sink - which causes a lot of splashing. The reason I bought this was due to our combi-boiler being in the roof. The plumber messed up by using the large gravity feed system’s existing piping. It takes aggggggessss to come through hot. You can fill 3 x large buckets before it’s even warm - which is obviously ridiculous and a terrible waste of resources. To have the system re-piped would be a huge and expensive job, so it’s either having the kettle on all the time, or something like this.I don’t really think this is going to be the answer, but at least we can have warm water for hand washing downstairs.

Hot Tap
I needed HOT WATER without the cost of putting the gas boiler or immersion heater on, so after watching the YouTube videos I decided to buy a HOT WATER TAP. It arrived on time and undamaged, the instructions were easy to follow. I had to cut the plug off so I could put it through the hole in the sink, I then fitted a new plug. The pipe work was easy to fit and the tap worked perfectly, it uses very little electricity according to my smart meter which is excellent. It is a very well made and designed product, I am very happy with it and will probably buy another one for my bathroom sink.

Don’t try this at home!
Don’t be tempted to. It’s too good to be true. Either don’t provide hot water (boil a kettle or pan of water) or invest in a plumber to install a complete end to end hot water system!

Easy to fit easy to use
Fitted in new bathroom with no boiler. Very easy to fit, power cord goes through wall to socket.Hot water for hand washing, instant and not too hot.Temperature display not always accurate for temp of water as it hits hands-probably accurate as it passes the internal sensor.Be careful of leaks when fitting, do not overtighten.
