Looks good on pine - I like it
I always find some real photos useful..This is the stain applied to kiln dried pine of the large-diy-store variety. Kitchen sponged on then wiped off less than a minute later. No sealer or anything, just 220grit smooth surface.1 coat top half, 2 coats bottom half.I was hoping for something darker at first but it's really nice, I'm happy with it.It suits the pine well and has a soft pastel sort of appearance - brings out the grain without being unnatural. Would be really nice as it is finished with a wax - I've had some good results with 'soft wax' designed for chalk paint. It seems to be cooperating with dark jacobean Danish oil too; using the stain as a primer to acheive darker shades in fewer coats (with better grain).Very pleased.

Happy chappy
Just what I needed for the job in hand. Went on easily and dried quickly and has covered all the scratch marks from the door here our dogs have worn off the coloured varnish over the years. Just needs a topcoat of varnish now to finish it off!

Really great product
Excellent product. Very easy to apply - just brush it on and rub off the excess. The finish is great, the grain is empasised nicely.I used it on oak and the colour came out really well... it matches the walnut we have in the room with it.

Happy with end result after using product

Too much like paint
More like a paint than a wood stain. Covers the grain.Update. Won't penetrate pine leaving untreated resistant areas and also many surface streaks.

Does what it says on the tin!
I'm not experienced with this kind of thing, and this was very easy to use and gave the results I wanted. You can see the original color on the center drawers for comparison.

Great Wood Dye
I keep coming back to buy more of this stuff. We love the walnut color. It dried very quickly so be ready to wipe off the excess/smooth out any lines fairly soon after applying. For large surface areas, I apply with a towel while my husband comes behind me and gently buffs it uniformed with a clean towel (these of course should be scrap towels you're okay with throwing away afterwards). I've also applied it with a paint sponge but I like the towel method more. I'll use this any day over the toxic smelly stains in the USA; I am extremely sensitive to smells and chemicals and I can use this stuff indoors, no problems. Love it!My photos are of the walnut stain on light maple wood, but I've used it on pine and it looks just as great. Walnut is a great neutral brown without all the orangy red in it (although my counters in the second photo may appear slightly orange because I put tung oil, which leaves a honey hue, on them)

Wrong color
I can’t speak for the quality of the product since I was sent mahogany after ordering walnut. Just returned it. I’d order again if I thought I’d get the right color.*update. Found the problem. The bag is marked walnut but the product mahogany.
