Purchased: December, 2023 - Waited to review to make sure it didn't break. LOL I'm very happy with this product! The 13 gal. (50L). Slim Trash Can Silver, Stainless steel. All parts still work perfectly. The foot pedal mechanism is quiet, closes slowly and securely. Easy to clean and the coated finish has product looking fresh and like new. It fits perfectly into the narrow area, and blends well. Love the interior plastic bucket, easy to remove bucket, garbage bags and keeps inside clean. It is very sturdy. It takes a few days to fill it up. Love the slim style, functional and great design!

I purchased this item on May 16, 2023 for my kitchen which needed a slim fit trashcan. I was very pleased with the trashcan as it is sturdy and fits well in my kitchen. However, with normal wear and tear with only two adults in this household, the foot pedal broke off. I contacted the company first and received a response within a day saying that they couldn’t do anything for me and to contact Amazon. I contacted Amazon and they told me the return window had expired and they couldn’t do anything for me even though I’ve been a loyal customer and buy a lot from Amazon. I’m very disappointed.I am revising my review as the company was gracious enough to replace my product.

The can is nice looking and seems to be well made. I would buy it again. The recommended trash bags of the same brand I do not recommend though. They tear open easily and do not fit the trash can.

This is a nice slimline trash can, good quality for the price.

I bought this garbage can May 2023 to replace the old one I had for YEARS after the foot pedal lever finally broke. It is now 3 months later, and this one has broken and needs to be replaced. When I first got it I was very pleased with the quality. Seemed sturdy, slow close lid functioned as expected and I liked the removable liner can for easier cleaning. The only issue I had up until a few days ago was that the garbage bags I had were a tight fit in the liner, but I can’t blame that solely on the garbage can. However, after taking out the trash the other night the lid no longer closes. Upon closer inspection the plastic plunger that is supposed to lower the lid and provide the soft close now gets wedged between the lid and the back of the can and it won’t close all the way without me applying pressure to the back handle or finagling the plunger. That’s too much work when I’m cooking or cleaning in the kitchen, but, I can’t ignore it because then my garbage can is left open allowing the smell of everything inside to escape. I had higher hopes for a garbage can at this price point. Disappointed.

I particularly like the rectangular shape of this product, as it fits into my kitchen space perfectly. The top closes softly and I like the roominess of the unit which seems to hold more than the normal trash can.

I am very impressed with the careful packaging of this trash can. I was worried about receiving it dented through the mail. It is very securely packaged. The trash can itself is perfect. Looks and works better than my expectations.

The media could not be loaded. A good sized can, soft close is nice but it seems to be specially designed to ONLY fit Songmics brand trash bags… which is annoying… it also developed a small spot of rust within the first week of purchase, and I didn’t sweat it at first, but overtime the rust seems to have spread, even though I make sure to keep it dry.I just took my trash out and also noticed a spot of mold inside the lid as well… so not sure what kind of material this is but certainly not stainless steel.Not the first time I’ve had quality issues with SONGMICS productsFor the price I’m disappointed but it functions…3 stars.
