Good rod
I found this to be excellent value and has a good action when casting . Also it was a bonus having line already on the reel and lures to use along with my bait

Go for another rod
I bought two of these rods, one for me, one for my father. Both rods have the same issues. Coming from a brand like Shakespeare I was expecting good quality builds but have been disappointed. The eyelets are purely constructed and fall out. Of the ones that haven't fallen out, plenty of them crack and damage the line during casting. I bought new eyelets to replace the ones that were damaged/missing but this isn't an easy job either. Both rods have been used less than ten times and have the exact same issues. My recommendation after buying these would be to save time/money/patience and purchase something else

Plastic Reel.
The Rod is reasonable but the reel is Plastic and too week to pull you out of a snag.I use 80lb braid so it's not going to snap easily and I was snagged.The reel is completely useless and worthless.It broke under little pressure First time I used it.
