Aprilaire 2410 Whole-Home Air Cleaner

I had the standard 1", 20 x 25 filter most people have. It fit in the furnace poorly, I had visible dust in the air, and had to dust often. With this unit installed, I have to dust rarely, the air is clear, and I feel good about the situation. Installation may be your biggest issue; if new construction, this would be easy. As a retrofit, I had an 18" round air return into an "air box" that the furnace sits on. I had to locate a local sheet-metal shop to bend an 18" round to 29 x 18 rectangle adapter ($75). Once you have a way to mate this unit into your system, it is a very basic installation. The unit is well made, and documentation is clearly written. The unit comes with a high-quality filter, and I have learned that there is a kit (about $50) that converts the unit to accept an even higher-quality filter ( I plan on doing this at the next replacement, in a year). Overall, great purchase, and I expect to get all of the money spent on this upgrade back when I sell the home, as this is a substantial improvement on a standard filter.

This was easier to install than I thought. I have two central units and when I replaced one of them the HVAC company installed one of these and charge me $700 at the time. They stated that was the cost of the filter and installed for free since they were replace AC. Before I bought this one I got a price of $800 to install this unit. Much better price and a quick install.

Came with a filter I installed it with my furnace pretty easily.. just ran a few screws through it to secure the box to the furnace and used putty seal to close up all open seams. Works well.

This is a replacement for a very old air cleaner that was installed years ago before I purchased this home. It was simple for the heating contractor to retrofit and install the new air cleaner. The filters are a bit expensive but I am happy with the results.

Installed this myself. Kevlar gloves save you from shredding you hands while dealing with sheet metal. I also got a shears drill attachment to make quick work. A set of bending tools will also help a lot.The air filter itself is great quality and you can feel the difference in the air after he system has been run for a few hours.Make sure before buying this that you can control your fan without the need to have the heating/cooling on.I'll be installing this in my mothers house next.

I would have given this 5 stars all around but the filters are so expensive and hard to find, the Installation was so easy that it doesn't need instructions just someone with commonsense.if anyone knows where i can find good price on filters let me know

Good quality cabinet. Filters are very impressive. Seems to be working well.

This has made a huge difference in our indoor air quality. Our family suffers from allergies and since we had this purifier installed on our furnace we all feel better.
