Viscosity is VERY important. Worked great.
A note on all these sprayers - you have to get the viscosity correct. It is not just "pour and paint." YOU MUST GET IN THE ACCEPTABLE VISCOSITY RANGE (and make sure you don't have lumps). This package includes both a viscosity measurement device and an extra lid. With all of these self-contained air sprayers, you *must* get the viscosity correct. Also, if it's not a brand new can, you should definitely use a strainer, because the tolerances and paint pathways are very, very small - a single *glop*, and you'll clog the system. Getting the viscosity right is something of a hassle, and the containers are quite small. you should consider another container to get the mix right. Once you have the general mix ratio, you can just *eyeball it*, but having an extra lid is nice, as you can fill nearly to the top with your ratio mix and get a good mix before putting the suction tube into the mixture. If you put the tube in first (before a good shake), you may get unmixed fluid to start (I did once, and it took some time to get the spray right - my own fault, not the machine). This unit has a reasonably broad viscosity range. The unit works well and as a "split unit" is very convenient, relatively easy to clean compared to "single unit" types. I've only used it for a day of priming, and a day of painting lattice. You have to get the mix quite lean (thin) to work, so plan on an extra coat. On the bright side, the thin coats mean that 1) your paint lasts 2 or 3 times longer than you expect, and 2) it dries very quickly. (You know you always want thin coats, right?)For primer, although the gent at Sherwin Williams said I'd be fine without thinner, but I was at two parts water to one part primer (one coat was adequate for good sections, but for decays sections, I needed two). For paint, more like three or more parts water to one part paint (one coat was o.k., but two coats to really cover with (a light) color over white primer). The spray pattern is controllable and works well and easily between horizontal and vertical. There is overspray, but overall, better than similar *single hand* units. Not as controlled as a can of spray paint (mostly because the paint doesn't dry as fast (like before hitting the ground)), but not a disaster. The volume of paint is controllable, and when you get the unit, you'll understand why this is important. I recommend you stay lean (high air to paint ratio), as it goes on more smoothly and dries more quickly, but more likely that you may need that second coat.I would recommend this to a friend, and at this price, is far better than what you'll get in a store. As to the company, shipping was quick (prime worked for two day shipping (which is not always the case)), the packaging was plenty adequate, and everything was included and nothing was damaged. I have no idea about customer service.I like it. I painted the lattice. I assume this is going to last, but if even if I only get five or ten uses, I'd buy it again, it's that kind of value.

Clean immediately after each use
I got this thinking it would be easier than lugging around my magnum airless to do small jobs. Wasn’t sure what to expect and although I had to go by was reviews and some weird videos. Turns out it works fantastic, not too loud sounds like a hairdryer actually. so far I have painted the siding on my house which is hardy plank and turned out good. Deck railings went easily. Privacy wall covered all 32 boards on both sides using about a half gallon of paint so I guess it’s fairly efficient? Thing I like most about it is it’s got a shoulder strap and I can walk around with it with an extension cord so it’s , been nice to finish many projects so far

Struggling with this review
I am struggling with this review because I am having a love/ hate relationship with this paint sprayer! What I like about it:Makes the paint last longerUsually easy to apply ( as long as the paint is thinned enough)Lightweight which is good since you have to have it on your shoulderCan quickly put on multiple coats since the paint is so thinFairly easy clean upWhat I do not like:You must stand very close to paint. No more than an arms length. Which means you really should wear a mask.If you do not thin the paint enough it spatters out and looks horrible. It can easily get clogged if you want to take a break from painting. Even just a 15 minute break!Clean up is not difficult, but it is time consuming. It’s messy. Having to transfer the paint from the can to the bottle and then having to stir the water and paint together it usually spills over a little bit.I would not attempt to use this indoors! It over sprays. I painted the outside only of my son’s place. The viscosity cup that comes with it is worthless. I guessed at how much water to use and after the first go round I figured it out on my own.All and all I do like this paint sprayer. It is not as easy as I thought it would be, but I do believe it saves time vs rolling the paint or using a brush. Especially for me as I painted a whole house. (Exterior only)Practice first! And make sure you have cardboard to use to cover up areas you do not want to paint.

Excellent
This thing is fantastic. Am using it to paint the wood exterior of my house with acrylic latex paint, and it is many times faster than painting with a brush or roller, despite the extra masking required to protect from mist and drift. I am not a professional painter or construction worker, just an average do-it-yourselfer with no special skills, and this is the only sprayer I have ever tried. But I was pleasantly surprised by the manufacturing quality and excellent performance of this sprayer. There are dozens of sprayers in this price category, and most of them have some seriously negative performance reviews. I hesitated a long time before deciding to take the plunge, since I would not be comfortable returning the sprayer once I put paint in it, unless there were a manufacturing defect. I chose this particular sprayer largely on the absence of negative reviews, and am glad I did. This is an excellent unit. The spray nozzle and blower housing are made of a solid, durable material that feels like it will last. The hose connecting the nozzle to the blower is the only part that feels less rugged, but the hose is fully detachable at both ends so it can be replaced if necessary, and with sufficient care feels like it will last a very long time. This is a consumer product, not a professional tool, but a well-designed and high quality product nonetheless. Thinning the latex paint to the right viscosity is simple with the included viscosity tool. The spray density can be made extremely fine by backing off on the trigger, to get that factory perfect finish when painting a desk or door. The included shoulder strap for the blower makes carrying the sprayer easy. Am very happy with this product.
