My old one broke. This is the perfect size. Not too heavy but holds enough. Keeps the charcoal dry.

I'll give this five stars because it does exactly what it is supposed to - it holds a small bag of charcoal, makes dispensing coals easy, and it keeps the coals dry. Also perfect when you need to transport coals - we got this small one to carry in the RV after good experience with the larger (24lb) version.I leave our larger kaddy on our porch next to the Barbie and, while it is under a roof, we get some pretty hefty thunderstorms and stuff on the porch gets WET. Came home one day and everything was soaked including the outside of the charcoal kaddy, but the coals inside were bone dry. No more damp charcoal - woo hoo.I would recommend the smaller size (12lb) for take-along use. If you are using it at home only, go for the larger version (24lb).

It works fine. it's almost identical to the salt holder but a lot cheaper and I don't need the pouring functionality I just wanted something to store my ice melter on the front porch... which this does perfectly fine (I can get almost 2 bags of the stuff I buy in it) If you look closely at the product photo you'll see a photoshopped out blue square on top covering the NON REMOVABLE printed on design of Kingsford's logo. This annoys me because I don't want screaming ads and logos on anything, up to and including if i were to be using this to store anything near the grill. What I wanted was a simple box that didn't look gaudy from the street, which this does, but I feel cheated because I didn't inspect the product photo better and just assumed stickers could be removed as they should all be.

I am an avid griller and have been looking for a storage tote where I can store charcoal ( 2 types ) and wood chip. It was getting old carrying 20lb bags out of the garage to the grill and back to keep them dry. These totes are great. Now I fill them and keep them by the grill all the time. The totes are weather tight and sized so they are not heavy when full. If you are looking for a tote to keep your charcoal dry and near the grill.... I suggest you buy these.

We love these! Ordered 2 and will order one more for the Traeger. They hold a bag of pellets perfectly!HINT: If you prefer to use different types of pellets from one BBQ to the next, buy and EXTRA Kaddy and keep it empty...that way you have an empty bin to dump the hopper into. We bought 2 and filled them both only then realizing we couldn't empty the hopper to change the pellets! An extra bin would have solved our problem!

First, let me say that I don't use this for its intended purpose. I use it as a water proof, smell proof receptacle for bags of dog poop. I've used one for years and it is ideal for this purpose. The only problem I have is that it's difficult to remove the lid in order to empty the bin. It stays dry and as a bonus it helps control the smell. Plus, my HOA doesn't have a problem with it because the majority of it is black and hides well behind bushes.

LOVED this container!! We had one for 12 years without problems. We only had to replace it because we had a fire in the shed where it was kept and it melted in the fire. The container is very sturdy and held up very well. It never broke, or cracked at all. We love this container for charcoal. It is easy to fill up and store. We even take it camping with us.
