Mini Grease Gun - finaly one that works...
Excellent for the price. Instructions are clear about cartridge vs straight grease use. Bottom section being able to unscrew allows the seal's reversal.

It is a grease gun and it does work
I think people should know that you can't get these things to work on a cold day and night that's probably what their problem is. This thing primed immediately and worked immediately. Can't beat the price it's going to be fine. So don't listen to these naysayers they don't know what they're talking about

Same as all other grease guys...
Like all grease guns.. and same problem I had 30 years ago in the army.. the tube walls are thicker than the plunger so the plunger has to be loosened and forced into the tube and when everything has grease on it yuo end up using every tool you can find to shove the plunger and then when you do at least 1/4 of the tube squirts out.. and you end uo stuffing it back in.. I had vivid memories of this very problem from almost 30 years ago and seems some things never change. I remember it was so bad we use to take the grease out of the tubs and stuff down the tube. It does work as expected, a great little compact grease gun. I wish it had a flex tube though. It also comes off the zert pretty easy. 4 our of 5 for not having a Flexi tube.

Great grease gun, just don't use it with Aqua Shield grease
This is a great little compact grease gun. First one I've ever owned or use, and it's simple to set up and use. Works great and easily handled greasing my windlass and prop shaft support. But if you find yourself having visions of manually filling this with Aqua Shield grease, check yourself for a high fever. Aqua Shield is perhaps the top grease for the harsh and salty marine environment, but it is absolute misery to work with because it is so thick, sticky, stringy, and smelly. Seriously, refilling this grease gun with Aqua Shield was the most despicable task I have ever had to perform in the name of my sailboat. If you want to learn how to curse like a sailor, this is the way to go. Innocent ears will burst into flame for miles around. It appears Aqua Shield isn't available in a 3 oz cartridge. So if you'll be using this grease, skip this gun and go straight for one that can take the 14 oz cart. This is probably the best life advice I can offer to anyone.Sometimes things are great on their own, but have no business being together. Like garlic and bubble gum. This is one of those times.

buyer beware - grease nozzle didn't seal on the zerk
bought this replacing an older 3oz grease gun wanting more pressure when greasing my snowblower and not happy with the results. the grease nozzle leaked off the zerk not providing an adequate seal for the apparent pressure this unit provides. i ended up swapping on a good working grease head off my old grease gun and i'm back in action. for the price, i'm mildly thrilled. i'd give another company a chance for a cheap grease gun next time around. 3500 psi is a very good rating though.

Shiny Garbage
These are pure garbage !!! I initially bought 6 of them. First one I tried using I spent over an our trying to make it work. It will work fine if you're pulling grease from a bucket, but not if you try to load the grease cartridge. Instructions assume the gun works correctly, but it doesn't. And yes, I know which way the tapered plunger should face. The problem is the plastic disc between the spring and the rubber plunger is too wide and spreads the rubber plunger to the point where it tightly fits into the grease gun tube, but once you insert the cartridge, there's no way that plunger will fit there. This is clearly a design flaw and it's obvious the manufacturer never tested these guns !!! As a workaround, I simply removed the plastic support disc and let the rubber plunger sit directly on the spring. This worked fine for the first 6 guns I got, and each one of them is now working fine. Then I bought 3 more guns, and the 1st of them I tried using I spent over 2 hours trying to get it to work !!! No luck, this one had a bent spring top, and no matter what I tried to come up with, the plunger would not sit straight on the bent spring top edge and therefore the grease was leaking without the plastic disc... and with the plastic disc, of course, it wouldn't fit into the cartridge. I tried also trimming the plastic support disc, but the spring diameter is wide enough that any trimming would go to waste, because the spring would then stick out passed the disc and would warp the rubber plunger again. I'm not going to risk wasting anymore time with the other 2 guns, sending all 3 back and will look for another brand. This gun is a joke !!! I called Powerbuilt tech support in the past when I had the initial problem about a month ago. There's only 1 person that supports these guns. It took several weeks, many messages, and finally an angry conversation with their manager to finally get a hold of that support tech. When I finally spoke to him, he said I can't expect much of these guns, they are cheap quality, and if it works for me the way I modified it, then I should keep it that way... wow! what a genius tech support. Second time I had the new problem I'm not even gonna bother calling them. Even their own tech support admits this is a poor quality product and we should have low expectations...

Inexpensive small-cartridge grease gun that does the job very well
I just wanted a simple yet dependable grease gun to lube my Jeep Cherokee with. I like using the smaller grease cartridges, which the Powerbuilt 648755 Mini-Pistol Grease Gun uses. I already had a flexible 12" extension hose, which I prefer rather than the short, straight metal one that it comes with (there are some difficult grease fittings to reach on my Jeep - the flexible extension works much better than the short tube that the gun comes with). A nice feature about this Grease gun is that there are two places where you can attach an extension (if you prefer to use one of those), and I used the hole (that is sealed with a hex nut) on the top of the gun to attach the extension hose, a simple job of taking the top hex nut out, screwing in the extension, taking off the small metal tube that comes with the gun, and putting the hex nut in that hole. The cartridges loaded easily, and the gun worked flawlessly. I had one similar to this that lasted over 45 years. I expect the same durability from this gun, as it is built the same way. I highly recommend this product.
