Long Life Lamp Company 4.5W GX53 LED SMD Replacement for CFL Pure White Under Cabinet Light GX53 Replacements [Energy Class G]

I use 4 watt 5500-6000K (White) GX53 to provide most of the light and warmer (dimmer) lower K LEDs to provide 'warm' spots as I have seen this done in countries that know how to use LED lighting and this provides plenty of light for the lowest running cost - this fully-sealed version is the best of them all that I have found.

NICE AND BRIGHT

Don't often leave reviews but I've had an absolute nightmare trying to find this type of bulb where it doesn't break within a week or two, doesn't flicker, doesn't take ages to properly light up or doesn't give off a horrible dim yellow light. Waited a couple of months before reviewing thinking lets see if they last but 4-5 months down the line and I'm very pleased with these lights.The picture looks like more of a yellow light but it is very much a nice (warm) white - bright enough that it lights up the area well for whatever you're doing (I have them installed under cabinets in the kitchen where I prepare most of my food and I need to see what I'm doing with a knife!) but not so bright that they look too harsh or clinical.In general if you can avoid using lights that require this type of bulb I would as it can be a pain to get hold of quality replacements but if you already have your lights installed and are looking for replacement bulbs these are as good as I've come across either online or in shops (and I've tried a fair few!).

This bulb arrived promptly. It was well packaged. It is nice and bright (we use it in the kitchen). We have the warm white version which is very pleasant.

So far so good with the LED GX53 bulbs. Though they are meant to be warm white, I have run them next to the older CFL GX53 warm white and would say they are slightly more harsh.None the less they have worked well to date. Will give it six months and if they are still working then will give them 5 stars._______________________Update Nov 2107.Bought 4 of these in total. Installed one yesterday. Worked for less than a day and now totally dead.Was hoping to give this product 5 stars, but sadly even with this above average price point, the overall quality doesn't seem to be up to much.I think in the long run better getting rid of the GX53 base units and replacing the lot with GU10. At least GU10 LEDs are a lot cheaper.

Thought I'd try these as a couple of CFL lamps had burnt out long before their estimated life despite manufacturers promises. These LED replacements arrived a couple of days after ordering so no moans on delivery times. They look more attractive than a CFL when lit as each LED chip emits a very bright spot of light giving the impression that the illumination is coming from lots of little stars in the lamp casing. Spread is the same as a CFL but much brighter than the 9 watt CFL they replaced and they run cool. So all round a better replacement with the promise of longer life.Only four stars? they will earn the extra one when I've used them for some time and can vouch for their longevity.I have a habit with bulbs of marking the date on the ceramic body with a fine pencil so that when, and if they fail, I have a rough estimate of their life.

I needed four of these to replace the previously neon type of lamps as used in my kitchen ceiling light. Now using LED's, they are at full brightness as soon as they have been switched on. The dispersal of light through the diffuser in the housing is excellent leaving no shadowy areas and the light output is as high as the previously used 9watt lights.Do not be fooled by the yellowish appearance of the picture in the listing, the actual colour of the emitted light is natural with a very slight leaning towards the yellow spectrum giving a most satisfactory warm light in my Kitchen.Regarding lifetime of LED's one just has to wait and see, average Life being quoted at 30000 hours.
