Personal Lifting Cushion: Inflatable Floor Lift, Inflates from Floor to 24" high, Help Elderly Get Up from Falls, Light Weight, Portable Use, 550lbs Weight Limit

We decided to get this as there was a recent fall. Although a family member was available to help get the person off the floor on that day, it is not always the case.We trial-runned the device with great success. It worked exactly as anticipated. The person was able to maneuver onto the cushion lying flat on the floor. We then assisted them to sit upright and started inflating the first cushion, then the second, finally the third. As suggested, we positioned a chair to their side so they could keep stabilized in the sitting position. Once the third cushion was inflated, they were able to stand upright.- The directions are crystal clear. Read through a couple times before starting set up.- We highly recommend giving the equipment a dry run, not only to make sure it works but also to help the person understand what they need to do in a non-duress situation. Not only is getting someone to listen to directions after they fall difficult but trying to figure out directions at that time is less than ideal.- This device is great in situations where the person is awake, alert and oriented throughout the incident. If a severe injury is suspected, best to call emergency services straight away.We are very pleased with this device, but honestly hope we never have to use it.

No complaint on quality - nicely made. Concept seems reasonably sound. Our issue is the limitation when the patient is large or unable to retain balance using the lift is like balancing on a beach ball. Efforts to surround the unit with chairs, tables, walkers etc. were to no avail. Any movement left or right, forward or back resulted in sliding followed by unrecoverable uneven inflation and sliding off. The patient must be very carefully positioned close to the center and able to sit up. We found rolling onto the unit to be easiest followed by attaching the hoses and begin pumping. The remote control is essential for easy use. The long extension cord was welcomed.Some possible improvements to consider might include: sitting surfaces colored differently from sides, the sitting surface being flocked or otherwise more slip resistant, an internal structure such that the rectangular/cubic geometry is more stable, or inflatable bolsters although that may compromise the simplicity that makes this product attractive.

My husband falls unfortunately not infrequently despite our safeguards. I cannot lift him into a chair or standing and so have limited options (911 neighbors etc). This device is light and compact for me to move to his location (comes with reasonable extension cord) and then is easy for him to scoot onto. It is abit pricy but sturdy, very well made and very simple to use: no assembly needed. He can grab his walker or a chair nearby and move up from there. The height should be added to the online info. I have never seen that battery in the remote but assume I will be able to find a replacement when the time comes.

This item will help me get off floor in case of falling.It is an old age issue and hopefully it will give me the security I need.I hope to never use it ,but I am glad I bought it.

Good idea. Lifts you but slides out like a beach ball need help to get off not beneficial. It takes 1 hand on remote 2 hands on valve & is dangerous when you fall off need to try something else

Bought this to help get my elderly mother off the floor. It's pricey for what it is but, hopefully it will do the job if needed.

Bought somewhere else but this was a God send for my father. To help him keep his balance while it was inflated we found keeping the chair next to him that he would transfer to after it was fully inflated, incredibly helpful. The chair gave him something to hang onto and keep his balance. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs assistance in getting up from a fall.
