I chose this in the catalogue, due to appearing to have easily accessible, clearly labelled buttons for setting up, and when I opened the box, there were clear instructions, it was easy to attach to the window, and set up for all functions, I then put the rear camera in place, ran the lead to the front, to connect to the main unit, but could not connect the plug, since it interfered with the pivot above, I had to cut some plastic off the side of the plug, in order to complete the assembly, it is now operating according to the instructions.

It looks cute and does the work. Thequality is ok. No complaints for now.As you buy, do remember to get this along with a memory card.

This does all that it claims and has proven reliable.The quality of the front image is very good for this price point and does indeed cover a 170° field of view (many dashcams claim this, but they don't live up to their claim). The rear camera image is also very good.The unit is made from both metal and plastic and feels solid and well constructed.The buttons are clearly labelled and sensibly arranged, they provide a clear tactile response when clicked.The menu is standard for a dashcam, comprehensive, arranged intuitively, easy to use and has no 'weird' options or confusing navigation.The car 12V to USB cable is plenty long enough, as is the length of the rear camera cable.It didn't quite make five stars as there was no micro SD / TF card supplied, which means the camera doesn't work 'out of the box'. Also, the 'lens' on the front is rather large, looking a tad pretentious and alluding to an SLR/compact type of camera. The actual, proper lens is less than a five pence piece, and the 'lens housing' could be made much smaller, improving the look of the camera.

Value for money

I bought two of these because they were so cheap. The main cameras look front and rear, and 'reversing cameras' look out to the side from fixed little windows behind the rear passenger doors. They're par for the course for tech this cheap:they're very lightthey rattle audibly in videosthe manuals are almost incomprehensibleit's not obvious when they're failing to record (two matching sd cards, one was 'liked' by cam, the other not and needed a format)Main picture (".mov"?) quality isn't bad, isn't greatRear video (".avi"?) quality is poor, but windows they're looking through are strongly tintedRear video is in a weird format my phone (what I use to as an 'sd card reader') doesn't understand, but will display on my PCThe sticky pads on the 'rear' cams failed within seconds of mounting, so I used supplied screws which work fine, but I'd rather the stick-on had worked.Having said all that, they appear to work and they were cheap. Sorry for the 'not used in anger' review - what I really need is to be in a non-fault collision so I can find out if they do the job.
