Quality product and would buy again
This is a rock solid rack bag. It has quality straps and zippers. Seals well and is weatherproof. I would definitely buy again.

Item was defective
We have a trip planned so I ordered this storage bag for the roof top and it arrived defected. The seal on the flap that keeps the zipper covered fell apart the second it came out of the bag. I have the Rhino rack platform with backbone system which is also so I thought naturally their other products would be just as solid. I was really disappointed with this luggage bag.

Sturdy & bulky
If you have a lot of stuff you need to haul on the roof of a car (actually, it better be a big SAV), this is a good choice. Lots of room inside, but it is very easy to overload, which then makes it pretty impossible to lift into place on the roof...so you have to load it IN PLACE on the roof. Once you get it loaded the zippers helps cinch the load down, but the two side cinch straps and the cinch straps at the front & rear of the bag are somewhat difficult to tighten due to the strap-clip configuration. And when you're up off the ground the whole process is not hard, but it is tedious. Good news: we just finished a 2,000 mile trip and the bag held up really well. It's a tough piece of equipment & we'll definitely use it again on longer trips, even though getting it loaded & unloaded is time consuming. We secured it to a Rhino Rack platform so our weight capacity is significantly more than a standard SAV rack system & that worked very well.

Great quality item!
We installed roof rack and used this for a recent family trip to NC. It rained off and on the entire trip and our suitcases were dry upon arrival!

DO NOT BUY
Do not buy, do not buy, do not buy, got it? The straps on this are worst design straps I have ever seen. The way they are looped through They make almost impossible to tighten. Spent 30 mins just trying to tighten down the bag. I had an early version of this bag before. The straps wear awesome, you could really get the perfect tightness. Their version I have no idea what they heck they did but who ever designed the strap looping should be fired!! Ultimate frustration!

not water proof!
Used my Rhino-Rack bag for the second time from Montana down to Houston, Tx. Opened it up after it had been parked for two days, with mild rain and it was holding approx. 1 inch of standing water. I'm very careful with what I put up there so I was pretty much ok, however, I'm very dissapointed in the product. There are two holes near where the zippers are by design. I can only assume that the wind/areodynamic drag shaped the bag in such a way that it shot water into those holes. I also was certain to have the velcro flap down and velcro secured. When opening the bag, and seeing sitting water, as I pealed it back I was 100% certain to check the flap and ensure it was secured over the zipper. Approx. 250 N95 masks were ruined and I'm a ER travel nurse. I do not recommend using this product.
