Very strong
Works well and is well built. I used it to carry a gas can (required a carrier designed to fit this )

would not support a 5 gallon full of gas jerry can: steel fractured
this jerry can holder was weak.. did not even last 6 hours on back of jeep with a 5 gallon red jerry can full of gas before the steel fractured/cracked.

Can will not fit
The standard Jerry can will not fit. It is about 1” too small.
