Product Description "The Citizen Story. For nearly a century, Citizen has grown throughout the world achieving recognition as a global brand. Recently, the company has risen to be the world's largest watchmaker, a distinction Citizen has held every year since 1986. Beyond sheer size, Citizen is also recognised as a worldwide leader in advanced technology. From the world's slimmest LCD watch to the first voice recognition watch and the world's first professional dive watch with an electronic depth sensor, Citizen's record of "world firsts" is unmatched. More recently, Citizen has become the leader in Ecologically Friendly timekeeping with its Eco-Drive collection of light powered watches. With models ranging from dress to sport to professional dive watches, Citizen Eco-Drive runs continuously in any kind of natural or artificial light for a lifetime of use. In 2007, Citizen introduced the first radio controlled atomic-timekeeping watches in the world. Excellent Watch
Excellent watch. Very stylish, with a clear face and the added bonus of not having to change the battery every so often. Once the leather strap loosens up it will be a good fit on my wrist.

Only 3 out of 5 Citizen... attention to detail needed!
Love the simple, understated and very classic design... it's perfect for the love of my life, who hates all these watches with bulky, fussy, overfilled displays and dials.Love that it's "no battery required" too... great knowing that it will work when he needs it to, as he doesn't wear a watch very often.Love that it has a sensible leather strap, rather than a big, bulky, flashy bracelet... it doesn't look false and pretentious and it won't look tired too quickly because it has been scratched to death and caught on things. However, Citizen don't warn you before you buy the item, that there are many things that can affect the time-keeping, such as magnets, LCD displays, mobile phones, laptops etc... it's a very vague list that is offered in the instructions leaflet... so you won't know until you use it if anything will affect it. I will have to wait and see what the results are. Also, why oh why did Citizen give this watch such a tiny date window, such that you can't actually read the number in the tiny window unless it is a "1"???! The window is so tiny that it closely borders most of the numbers and as the cut out also casts a small shadow, it is really difficult to read and it is impossible in anything less than perfect bright light. I nearly sent the watch back because of this, but decided against it in the end, because this feature would not be essential to my hubbie and he probably wouldn't use it anyway... plus, I hadn't seen anything else that I liked better from a "classic design" point of view, to fit my budget.Ultimately, I know my husband will still like it, and it will meet his requirements, but if only Citizen would go the extra mile...!
