Rust-Oleum 366441 High Performance Wheel Spray Paint, 11 oz, Metallic Graphite

With this being clear, I did not take any pictures, because they would not show anything worth while.. I have some aluminum rims that were getting some corrosion on the tire bead.. The car side was much worse than the outside edge.. I took the rims, with tires off, and used an flap disk on an angle grinder to get the majority of the corrosion off, and flatten any real high areas a little, and then sanded by hand with 120 sandpaper to give a better smoother / flatter surface.. I then painted the areas that I cleaned up with this clear paint to help protect it and keep it from corroding again..So far, I have had not problems.. This was not meant to be a perfection job, but more a save the rims from destruction type of job. It works good for that..If I had any problems, it would be one thing.. and that goes right along with what I used.. and that is, because it is clear, it is hard to tell where you put the paint on the rims.. I got a few runs because of this.. It would not have been as big of a problem with a big flat area, like a fender.. But inside beads is a different story.. especially since you have to do a certain amount, then move the rim to get to the next stretch, and repeat.. and after the first coat is on, there is no way to tell where you hit for the second coat, and where you didn't..Overall, it works for me.. A little time, and $10 in parts to save 2 rims, which would normally be at least $35 each for used ones.. Needless to say, I have nothing to complain about.. It did its job.. Only time will tell how it holds up on the vehicle though.

Sprays easily and provides very good coverage without building up. Easy to make sure there are no drips. Color is exactly as I hoped. Metallic deep gray but not too dark. I used slightly more than 1 can to do 4 coats over primer on some 16" wheels. The metallic flakes get everywhere so be sure you mask your area well. The flakes result in a rough textured finish, like low grit sandpaper. If that's not what you want, be sure to put a few coats of clear over top. Will buy again for the next set of wheels I do.

This paint worked great on my matte black, Black Rhino rims. I had some curb rash that I was able to sand down and touch up with this paint. It looked so good I touch up the whole rim with it. I also refreshed my black brush guard with this paint too. I sealed the paint with a matte black clear coat to add some protection. It didn’t change the look of them and so far it all has been holding up well.

I purchased glossy clear and charcoal gray to paint some trim pieces. The gray was more of a silver, color was way off. It was difficult to apply without zebra striping. The clearcoat turned hazy the first time so I stopped applying it. Waited a day and wet sanded the haziness, respray the color coat and clear. The clear got hazy again, 70 degree day low humidity. Total waste of time, buy a better quality paint. Do not buy this if you value your time.

Disclaimer: I do not take my time. Ever. This was the fastest, sloppiest application ever. For someone who actually puts in some effort, it’ll look 100 times better. Great product!

Easy coverage - dried fast - making several coats possible in a short time with a nice finish. I took my wheels off to prep them for a more detailed finish. I ordered too many cans and the company doesn’t take returns so I gave it 4 stars. One order of 3 cans is enough for four wheels. I think a coat of clear coat would make the finish more glossy - but I was happy with the finish.

Second time buying these to paint my wheel, the last application lasted 2 years before starting to fadeUsed 2 coats and a 2 coat clear, might do 3 this time around
