I wear a size 12 in shoes and I picked the 7-13 size in socks. I have big calves and they fit perfect. They stay up after a few miles of walking without any tightness on the top of the sock. I highly recommend them!!

Nice thick wool socks.

The sizes run small and all a photo would imply that they're rather tall socks. They're closer to ankle socks. They are not boot socks and they are not all that heavy.

Got these for my son for Christmas. He said they fit well and feel really comfortable.

I bought these as part of a winter-wear experiment. The results? They are okay first thing in the morning, but wet and cold by the end of the day. I'm liking the Carhartts better.
