Not as good value as it appears
I have been using TNC aquarium plant food and have been happy with it's performance. However, I decided to give AquaDesign PLANT+ a go. On the face of it, it looked better value. TNC £16.75 per litre with PLANT+ at £19.99 for two and a half litres. No brainer. When I received the PLANT+ I realised it needed a dose of 10ml per 30. litres. TNC only requires 1 ml per 10 litres, or 3 ml for 30 litres. In other words three times as much. This might be an unfair comparison due to a companies recommendations. Being sad, I found more detailed specs for comparison and dropped them into a spreadsheet. TNC has more ingredients at a stronger dose.Ultimately though, recommendation has to come on performance. I have not noticed a difference in performance at recommended dosages. There is nothing wrong with PLANT+, but it is not as good value as TNC in my opinion

Plants stronger
Recently some of my plants have been getting yellow leaves, losing some and not growing as quickly. I figured the substrate must be running low on nutrients and bought root tabs and this fertiliser for the water column. So far I've only used this and have noticed an improvement after two weeks. New growth has resumed and looks healthy.

Effective NPK aquarium fertiliser
Just switched to this after years of paying more for more established brands. The switch has been seamless and all plants growing healthily and as fast as I would expected. This product represents excellent value for money in comparison

Grows a kind of algae inside
I keep the product under the aquarium, in the cabinet , in dark. No source of heating next to it.However I noticed recently, after a month or so of purchase, that inside the bottle starts to develop a sort of algae, when put in water, it looks like a white puff. Never experienced before anything like this from other brands.I do want to say that my plants 🪴 benefits from nutrients, but I don't know of algae issue implications with my water inside the aquarium.I'm not sure what to do,maybe the seller could gave a hint.
