Chocolate Marzipan 18 piece Gift Box 8oz by Bergen Marzipan

I dont like too sweet marzipan chocolates. This one is perfect with less sugar and with much more accent on almond taste

You will be better served by eating a whole tube of almond paste—this tastes to me like a wad of sugar slightly dabbed in almond paste. There is nothing elegant about these little brown nuggets, so I would not serve them to guests. I suspect that the “chocolate “ advertised is simply red dye because the bottom of each piece indicates the dye wasn’t entirely mashed into the almond paste. I ate an expensive scam that gave me abdominal distress, IMHO.

Much too sweet for me. The almond flavor is well represented but not the chocolate. The texture is just right and the best thing about these. I also have to admit that the color and shape are not very appealing. They are getting eaten but slowly, in a household of hungry young people, who otherwise chow down on marzipan, it’s not the highest praise. If you like marzipan on the sweet side, this is 4 stars. If you don’t, like me, it’s 2. My rating is the average.

These did not last long at our tea party - so yummy!

Gave us a Christmas gift and the recipient loved it. I don't eat the stuff but he said it was really good.

This is NOT chocolate covered marzipan. They are “chocolate flavored”, and taste more like an overly-sweet tootsie roll than anything. Very disappointed since I got these for my wife as a gift.They’re full of corn syrup, dye, and flavorings. Not good.

This box of " marzipan" to me was not marzipan at all. I have been used to semi soft, fragrant marzipan covered in milk chocolate. These pieces were chocolate all the way thru, chewy. These reminded me of Tootsie Rolls. Exact same taste and texture as tootsie roll candy. And there was some kind of design or letter on topog each piece done in red, ( maybe meant to be poinsettia?)Anyway,not what I expected but someone else might love these chocolates.
