I used to to seal a hole on the top of my radiator (1999 Tahoe). That was nearly 16 months ago and still holding. I suspect it will do the same for a headlamp seal. Make sure it is clean and dry before you apply, and wear protective gloves.

is it heat resistant? Yes. It can withstand -56F-176F of constant exposure, and -56F-248F for brief periods.

Q: Would it stick on properly to a car emblem?

I would think it would be a good application for that.
