Amazing Bang for the Buck, but Limited By Size/Power (Duh)
A fantastic little sub that offers great performance for the price, as long as you curb your expectations. If you're looking to add some bottom end to a system that has none, for cheap, go for it! But if you're looking to add some proper bass to your system, you may want to consider 10" and/or 200 watts RMS as a minimum. Still awesome though! Surprisingly loud for its size/power/price. The perfect addition for someone seeking OEM+ on a budget!

Great product for the price!
Ok so I had my doubts on sound quality and the amount of bass I would get out of the unit coming from larger stereo system. But I have to say that no this will not shake your neighbor‘s car or house. This does put out a good quality bass to be able to crank up the music and enjoy. For the price and for what you get is definitely worth it.

Affordable and works good.
Works great for a small speaker and box. For the price you couldn’t ask for much more.

Exceeded my expectations!
This little sub exceeded all my expectations! It’s not going to make the mirrors on the car next to you shake, but it definitely makes the bass sound better than any new factory system. I usually have it set at mid range and it’s more than enough bass. Very easy to install, too. Great product and great brand!

Great addition to round out the low end!
This sub produces clean bass that pairs very nicely with my JBL components running off a high-powered Sony receiver. I put this in my 2007 Prius in 2018. My daughter now drives the car and the whole system is still running as strong as ever. I can't tell you how impressed I am with this sub with the sound quality and the life span of it. I am planning to use this (or the SS10P version) in the next car I am about to get.I am a little bit of an audio snob in general. I can get really picky over audio at times. I also used to have a decked-out car audio system with everything amp'd and the big sub in the trunk in my younger years, so I have some experience in this area as well. I have found I can't handle a lot of bass rattling my body anymore. It makes me sick. :/ I still want that low-end punch, but without too much shaking of the body. This little guy fits that bill on a smaller car like a Prius perfectly. It will rattle my rearview mirror but doesn't make me sick.I tested this against the older model Rockville RW10CA 10" under-seat sub wondering if I wanted more bass. The 10" option was too much bass for what I was looking for, but more importantly to me, it was too muddy sounding. It gave a lot more rumble but wasn't clean and tight. I wouldn't have minded the extra headroom on the days I wanted to push the bass a little more, but I stuck with the 8" because it just sounded cleaner (they didn't have a 10" version of this SS series then). I am very interested in the 10" version hoping it is just as clean with that headroom I sometimes want.Be warned, if you turn it up too loud it will distort. My daughter likes to turn on bass boost sometimes and I instantly know it is on when I get in. I turn it back off. It can rumble more, but it just sounds like a mess at that point (like any speaker that distorts). If you want some nice, clean low-end that will rumble the car decently without drowning out the highs, get this. If you want more chesty feeling bass, I think the 10" version will be more to your liking. It's double the RMS power as well. I just hope it's as clean!

Hold my hand to the fire if I’m lying!!!
Let me start off by saying….This was to be used in my older pickup truck that had a factory deck and 25+ year old blown speakers. I bought the cheapest speakers, and head unit I could find. The speakers had ZERO mid or low range so thus my search began for a “all in one” small sub that would add some life to the sound.. I found this little guy and installed it hoping it would last for more than a few songs…. LET ME TELL YOU HOW GOOD THIS THING IS!!!! I have a full “name brand tuned system” in my daily with a 12” sub, and it does not sound as clean as this little guy. It’s insane how crisp, and hard it hits for being so small. The wiring was easy, (though like other reviews, I wired mine up a tad differently) it looks “factory-ish” like you would find in older high end cars from the early 2000’s which is perfect for where I wanted to mount mine. The unit has weight to it, much more than I was expecting, which was a good sign right out of the box. The performance is incredible, you are able to adjust the sub level from the remote knob. The quality of not only sound, but unit build and shipping was above what I was expecting. the unit will get a little toasty if you blast your favorite song on repeat a few times, but it has yet to overheat. And I live in Arizona where a parked car in the sun can reach extreme temperatures. Overall I can not recommend this thing enough! It has surpassed my expectations and will be 100% buying at least 2 more. Spend the money, pick this little guy up, and be as happy as I am.
