Much better made than the flimsy junk sold at the big box stores.
Very much like a miniature pick-ax for single-handed use in the garden, yard or around the house. Mine appears well made with nicely welded joints. I’ve used it several times for specific jobs and have been well pleased. It is (some version of) stainless steel, so rust should not be a big issue. Let’s face it though, overseas SS is not the SAME quality of that manufactured in the US. Still, unless you leave it outside in the weather (which I don’t), rust shouldn’t be an issue. This one is a great size for a heavy duty, single-handed tool. Use it sensibly and it should last a loooong time!

Nice, Handsome Product--Better Than I Imagined
I was looking for a medium-weight (2.5 lbs.) pick for medium garden duty and saw this. I am pleased with the handsome product (giftable) and nice quality. Most useful (surprisingly) is the long narrow, pointed side of the pick, which has come in handy while removing buried rocks from the soil. While this tool is best for light to medium work, I think you will find it useful in your garden tool bucket.

Very nice tool
This thing is well made and can handle hard work. It's not real heavy so it is limited to light duty but you can be assured that it won't fall apart, chip or bend doing what it's able to do. Buy it if you like to do gardening work on your knees in relatively manageable soil. I have desert soil with lots of rocks so I also need to use a standard pick to do any real digging. This works well in the top soil in my yard though. Great to aid in planting. It's quality for sure.

Great Product - Bad Finish On Handle
This hand held pickaxe is a quality tool. Good balance. The finish of the handle is rough. They did a poor job on sanding the wood handle, then they applied the finish, leaving a rough feel to the handle. The fake leather tied through the handle hole is useless. It's weak and way to short.

Great tool!!
This is very well made. This is a tool I did not know I needed until I was at a volunteer garden and someone had brought theirs. They let me use theirs and I was sold. I came right home and purchased it. This is so handy for lifting the edges of heavy landscaping rocks that need to be lifted and repositioned. I have some tree roots that need to be dug up so this will be perfect to start that. I’ll have to watch out that it gets returned if I loan it to the neighbors because it’s so well made, looks nice and once you feel it in your hand you will want one too. It’s well balanced and would be a lovely gift for an avid gardener. It’s so handy for digging all kinds of things, and it saved me so much time and effort at that volunteer garden which was massive and had a lot of projects
