Not as good flavor as Wendy's restaurant chili. I keep a few cans for convenience, sometimes as a last resort for Wendy's mild flavor. May need some hot sauce added.

Much better than Hormel canned chili (which really should be used as base). This prepared chili can be served straight from the can, and is close in flavor to what is served in Wendy's restaurants, which means a little bit soupier than the most robust chilis. Still, a nice addition to lunch or dinner. It might be a bit expensive.

Update:I've ordered this item several times more and keep getting dented cans that were shipped damaged. I'll order 4 at a time and one of the cans will come severely dented. The shipping box is undamaged, and the can is dented in a location that wasn't even facing the outside of the box. Amazon has a practice of shipping damaged product just to pass it off to their customers instead of taking a loss on it. Then they make it extremely difficult to get a refund or replacement. When you go to get a refund/replacement it says the item is unable to be returned and then they pretty much don't give you any other options. You then have to go through several more pages to figure out how to contact a rep, then spend 10-15 min in a chat to get a refund. I am done ordering this product through amazon.This tastes very similar to Wendy's chili you get at the restaurants but it is slightly different. The base is a bit thicker of a paste than in store which tends to be a more thin/runny/watery. Probably because the in-store version has more tomato pieces and this the tomato is pureed it seems. It is like the store chili with a bit of a canned hot dog chili taste to it. I've already bought it a couple of times now because there is no Wendy's near me and I miss it. LOL. Normally canned chili takes about 3 min to heat up in my microwave but this only 2-2.5min. It does make quite a mess though compared to other chili and soup I heat up. It pops and hisses like crazy. Even though I cover the bowel with a towel it still splatters all over the bowl and often down the sides (and I'm using 30 oz ceramic bowls).Overall recommended.
