Smoother Shifting BMW R1200C
I recently put this in my 2004 BMW R1200C, and can not believe how much of a difference it has made to the ease of shifting. I am using this as both my Transmission and Final Drive. I have tried the following gear oils, Mobil1, Belray Gear Saver, and various dino oils, and LiquiMoly by far has been the best for my bike. Liqui Moly has been the only gear oil correct 2 issues that I have had with my transmission 1) eliminate the well BMW tranny clatter when in neutral and 2) to make gear changes silky smooth.Transmission differences: the shifting has become as smooth as butter, and neutral to first is accomplished almost always on the first try and no more "clunk". It has also eliminated the going to neutral when shifting from 1st to 2nd. There has been a noticeable reducing/elimination of the transmission clatter when warm and in neutral. Finally, the operating temperature of the transmission is noticeably cooler then Mobil1 specifically, so shifting stays smooth even after running the bike for an extended period. With Mobil1 shifting was silky smooth to start but became more clunky as the transmission got to operating temps.Final Drive: the biggest difference other than the lower operating temps, is the reduction in the gear lash clunk that occurs when first engaging power from a stop. Although gear lash is an inherent design feature for shaft drive vehicles, the lash is definitely less pronounced, and seems to have been softened with Liqui-Moly.

Oily
Replaced my gear box fluid in my 2021 R9T. Everything seems to be shifting smoothly and quietly.

Better performance
Because I bought a used BMW I changed the transmission oil at Odo meter reading 4,000 with original BMW oil. The old oil came out a little too troubled for my liking and so I decided to change the oil again at 6,000 miles (after two months) and this time I used Liquid Moly. The difference is very clear in the smoothness of shifting .Noise wise I don't know because my R NineT makes enough noise as it is, but shifting is definitely smoother. For my next engine oil change I am going to use the Liquid Moly Full Synthetic SAE 15W50 and see how that works on the engine.

Used on 2013 Lexus GX460
I've used Liqui Moly differential fluids in all of my vehicles without fail. Although the Lexus service manual recommends 75w85 GL5 fluid (change every 15k or 18 months), I used this as it was recommended for the GX460 on LM's website. I bought a case of six 1L bottles in order to change the fluid in both the front and rear differentials. Capacities listed below:Front 1.48 qt (1.40L)Rear 2.85 qt (2.70L)I did not, however, use this fluid for my transfer case. Both Liqui Moly and Fuchs recommend using OEM fluid, part number 08885-81080 from Toyota.

Good Stuff
I just changed out my front and rear differentials in my '09 Tiguan. The ride does seem a bit smoother (it should since the front was pretty dark). I expect it will last another 40K miles in the front and 60K miles on the back easy. One minor complaint is that the extendable tube was too thick to make it into the fill hole and the cap the tube was on leaked. Ended up using one of those pump up plant sprayers with a cone shaped nozzle. I'm not going to ding them for that since most oils don't even have that option and I'm sure it works for some.

best gear oil
This gear oil is as good as if not better then redline shockproof. It pours out with the consistency of 20w50 motor oil, but has great gear protection. I used it in my manual transmission, center diff, and rear diff in my awd subaru for 100,000 miles. i had all 3 gear oil samples sent out for oil analysis and all came back saying that i could have ran them for another 50,000 miles. The rear diff was the most worn out but still had 35,000 more miles of life in it. Also the best benefit was that my mpg improved by 2-3 mpg after changing it over from redline shockproof synthetic

Dangerously Mislabeled – Could Have Caused $140,000 in Damages
Dangerously Mislabeled – Could Have Caused $140,000 in DamagesI ordered this product based on its listing, which clearly advertised it as a GL-5 gear oil—required for my 2012 Porsche and confirmed in the OEM manual. However, what I received was GL-4/GL-5, a completely different and inappropriate fluid for hypoid gear systems. This type of blend lacks the extreme pressure (EP) additives needed and could have caused catastrophic drivetrain damage to a vehicle worth over $140,000.This is more than a fulfillment error—this is false advertising with potential for severe mechanical failure and financial loss. Thankfully, I caught the issue before using the product. Others may not be so lucky.I am in the process of contacting the seller directly. I strongly advise any high-performance or OEM-specific vehicle owner to avoid this listing entirely unless the product and labeling are corrected. Misleading gear oil specifications can destroy differentials and transmissions. This is a serious safety and liability issue.
