Great parts..great price
As always when i buy carbs from sellers on amazon, im always pleased that the kits come with so many extra parts that are needed for a proper repair. I did repaires for a big box store for 10 years. I did some math and figured it would have cost a customer aprox 4x as much to get these parts. Now i pass on the savings to MY customers and everyone is happy happy happy !!! Thanx for the great deal guys..always look forward to the next job so i can make a few dollars and make a customer happy. By the way, the carb works great, did even need to adjust it...bolt it on and go..!! Awsome product...be seein you all again real soon...!!!

Fixed my Ryobi SS30 in minutes
My Ryobi SS30 started running poorly after 8+ years of use and the carburetor seemed to be the most likely culprit. This kit was a simple bolt on swap and fit perfect. I replaced the fuel filter with the included one, used the original fuel hoses since removing and installing the new ones seemed like a bigger pain than I wanted to get into. I replaced the spark plug with the included spark plug. My weed whacker started right up, and ran pretty much perfect right away. I adjusted idle as it warmed up and that was all. Runs great again as if it were new. I could probably get it to run a little better if I adjusted the high and low speed settings but this kit does not come with the tool to do that which is the only drawback. It will start on choke but immediately die if you dont click the choke off within a second or two. It starts better if you give it a 1/4 throttle or so. It will idle forever (never did that in the past) and the throttle response was pretty quick. Overall, a great cheap fix for my old weed whacker.

OK for the price
Needed adjusting before it would run right-way out of adjustment. Easy install on Ryobi blower.

Exact fit
Started on the third pull. Runs good with very little adjustment. Starts on first pull after it warms up.

Good Buy. Went right on. Fits RY28040 because it's the same carb Plus a few tips
RY28040 and RY28041 use the same carb. Very easy to install all parts. But here are a few tips. There are two gaskets, they are not exactly the same. Be sure to use the correct one. My RY28040 has tiny hole in the gasket where it breathes. Only one of the gaskets has the hole. If yours doesn't use the other gasket. To get the new lines in the tank bevel the very tip of the gas line, like making an arrow. They go right in without special tool.I'd buy this again no doubt. I don't know how long this carb will last. The one that came with it lasted from 2010 original to 2016. But it ran poorly for the last year I had it but it still worked.I then bought a real Ryobi carb because I promise you on a Stihl Chainsaw don't buy anything but Stihl. But apparently that is no the case with Ryobi parts as the real thing failed after 2 seasons and I might weed eat 2 times a summer. Not good. Actually sitting around is the worse thing for these carbs.Another MAJOR hint is only use Marine Gasoline with no Ethanol. Yes it's a $1 more a gallon but its worth it. After I changed the carb, gas lines, plug, I put in gas I'd mixed 2 years ago and started instantly. That's with no stabilizer either. I mixed that gas sometime in summer of 2017. That's how long Non Alcohol gas lasts. DO NOT USE CAR GAS in any of your small engines.Marine non alcohol in my Briggs engine push mower goes 5 to 8 years between cleaning with Marine gas. With car gas I would have to clean it at best every 2 years.

Carb Replacement for Ryobi BC30
The carburetor fit perfect on my trimmer and only took about 15 minutes to replace. Basically take the air filter cover off, remove the foam filter, and remove the two nuts holding everything together. Then pull everything off. As you replace the hoses make sure you know which line goes to which connector on the carb and put the fuel filter on the right one. There are copious videos online showing the process. Super easy replacement and the engine fired right up.
