Nice lights for power failure
These lights work as advertised. Easy to install. Comes on automatically when there's a power failure. Only issue is that there's no opening for the power cord if mounted flat on the wall. I used a soldering iron to melt a small hole for the wire. I was going to subtract a star for that but they're good lights for the price and I immediately bought 2 more.

Good emergency light.
We had our electricity go out at night, when there was no moon, and the entire town had no power (a lot of the time only part of the town has no power, and therefore can provide some light, albeit dimly.)I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. My wife was in the shower and was in danger of falling, while trying to get out of the shower. I had a hard time finding a flashlight and get to her. In fact, I fell twice, in the process. So, I got these. Very good emergency lights! When plugged in, they are OFF. When power goes out, they turn ON and are bright enough to light the entire Living Room, for example. To avoid the internal battery from discharging completely while power is OFF, hold the TEST button in for a few seconds and they will go OFF (after you have your flashlight, of course.). When power comes back ON, they will work normally again.I have 5 in my house, in various places. And, yes, we've had power go out since we had them, and they work perfectly. They are a life saver! I wouldn't be without them! I recommend these highly!

Works as described
This light is easy to install and provides adequate light automatically in a power failure. It is as described. I would prefer a longer battery life, but this is sufficient for evacuating or for setting up alternate light sources .

Not "hospital or comerical quality" but worth $22 bucks if you have a need at your house.
Purchased 2 Ampeetlux emergency lights. Lights come on anytime power is turned off, either by breaker, switch or just unplugged. This are not super bright ( they say 200LM which is about 1/3 of the light of a "60 watt" lamp bulb) but good enough to help you find your way around to get out, go get other lights or in my case get my generator up and running. I took apart and they have 1800 MAh battery. This should only really allow it to run for about 3 hours tops. Battery says replace after 2 years but I think will last longer than that. I did see you can buy this type of battery on Amazon for about $15. As stated, you can't flush mount on a wall unless you re-run the power cord. I took back off, unplugged battery, drilled a new hole on side and took the rubber bushing off the back center cover and ran the power cord through the side. Easy to drill the thin plastic and took me about 15 minutes to do both. Cord is short so decided to mount over my garage doors where I have an outlets on the ceiling. They probably don't weight 1 pound so mounted with some zip ties which is plenty sturdy. They have a "red/green" light on side which also serves as a "test" or "on/off button". I like you can "test" but also that you can just turn them off all together if you dont want them on or say the power is out in the daytime. 2 units in my garage should give me enough light to see workbench, unlatch garage doors or get my generator out, worse case. They are instant on and take about 8 hours to charge to green. Not "hospital or comerical quality" by any means but worth $22 bucks if you have a need at your house.

Gives good light
After losing our power on New Year’s Eve in our new house, we decided we needed to invest in some kind of emergency lights. They arrived quickly, then my husband plugged them in up high in our hallway, then, while we were gone on a trip, and our niece was housesitting, the power again went out. We were told the lights came on immediately, and did what they were supposed to do! Very good investment. We already had a plug up high, but for someone who didn’t, then I guess you might have to install a plug in order to have it up high to give the best light.

Like them
I got these for my elderly mother Incase she was to lose power at night. They were easy to install. The cord could be longer. My husband mounted them in the wall as far up as the cord would go. We charged them and then unplugged them (haven't lost power yet to see if they work) and they did light up. Not sure if they last the 4 hours yet.

Let there be light!
When the power goes out it’s nice not to be in the dark scrambling around for a flashlight. Took awhile to charge.

Cheap product. Works fine.
Cheap quality, no cut out for cord to sit in as other reviews have said. Not all that bright, but it does what’s required. Rotating the heads and getting them to stay in place is tricky. I will try another brand next time.
