Orbit 58294 18-Hole 3,600 Square Foot Metal Oscillating Sprinkler
This Orbit 58294 sprinkler seems nicely made for what it cost and is working very well keeping my lawn and flower beds watered during this hot dry summer weather around here. It seems to be getting more difficult these days to find a decent oscillating sprinkler made with a metal body like this one is, instead of just cheap plastic like most of the other ones I looked at. This sprinkler has nice brass jets as well and an anodized aluminum spray arm. The threaded black plastic cleanout cap on the end of the spray arm also has a nozzle cleaning pin molded into it. This Orbit sprinkler oscillates much faster than my old Nelson did and is rated for 3600 square feet of coverage, but I'm sure I'm not getting that much coverage with my fairly standard submersible pump well system and 50-PSI water outlet pressure, so don't know if maybe city water pressure might give better results. This sprinkler also has a decent threaded brass hose connection as well, which is much better than the plastic connections on a lot of the newer sprinklers out there. Overall, I think this sprinkler is decently made and the price here on Amazon was also very reasonable, so I'm quite happy with the purchase.

Well Built & Stable Sprinkler
This is a well built oscillating sprinkler. The width and weight makes it stable, runs very smoothly. Good water coverage depending on how much water pressure you want, light falling water does not hurt flower beds, plants etc. Did not come with the little instruction booklet, but its a sprinkler not rocket science so it takes less than 30 seconds to find your water coverage. Highly Recommend!

Useless
I was hopeful that paying more for a metal sprinkler wouild mean that I'd get a better version of this kind of sprinkler. All the different brands of this kind of sprinkler that I've bought before have been disappointing. They work great for awhile, then fail. In the case of this one, it lasted about 2 months. No amount of maintenance, cleaning or repair could make it right again. It just swings back and forth a few times, then sticks in the same position. Too much hassle and headache. Save your money. I'm going back to an impact-type sprinkler.

Not an even arc, some holes seem to have decreased flow.
Waters the grass and kids enjoy using it to cool off. Expected to last. Spray holes not uniform so not as pretty to watch as others.

Not fully funtional
Is heavy metal and well made but the dial that is supposed to regulate the span of the sprinkler does not work properly. I wanted a full range on equally on both sides. I have full range on one side and only about 1/3 range on the other. No matter how much I try to adjust it, iy doesnt get any better.Considering the price I paid I would have expected it to work better.

Solid garden sprinkler
We needed a new sprinkler for our vegetable garden, the plastic ones we had have all broken in one way or another. This one, so far, has lasted us 2 seasons with no clogs or parts breaking. It feels quality, has a bit of weight to it, no loose parts or flex anywhere. So far, it has been great.

Dissapointing range
Nice construction, but no where near the coverage as they claim. I only have about a 900 sq ft lawn and it doesn't cover the whole thing. I've used other sprinklers that had no problem covering the space, so it's not a water pressure problem. There is no way this is rated at 3600 sq ft.
