24W Inline UV Light for Aquarium 75 Gallon / 1000 Gallon, UV Light for Cold Plunge, Drinking Water, Fish Tank Ultraviolet Clarifier Machine for Pond Algae Control

I have used many types of uv sterallization over the years in fresh and salt water. I was worried that the product did not have a way to tell if the bulb was still working but they cleverly use translucent hose fitting, and you can see the light coming from the in and out ports. Not seeing uv directly, the translucent plastic blocks out uv but passes a cyan light in the visible spectrum that is essentially a waste product when the bulb is in use.

Went together fine. Mounted on a board. Light is supposed to last for "8000 hours" or something. Using it in a cold plunge. The small stainless 6w unit. Just cleaned it last week. Took the bulb out of the housing and it is maybe 1/2 lit now with blackish marks internally. Now I cannot see how or where to order a new bulb. So now what? Redo it with another? Nope.

Very nice compact product but the company doesn't offer and you can not buy any replacement parts other than a bulb. If the glass sleeve brakes, or the ballast dies you will have to buy a whole new unit because the company will NOT sell them to you.

I had a fluval uv on my tank and it stopped working after one year. The bulb is not replaceable where this one is.

I would like to give you 3 starts great materials ( body stainless steel) but connections to hose plastic very cheep easy to brake there are leaking need use white tape

Works as described.

It worked at first (at least the light came on), but quit after about five weeks of continuous use. Perhaps it was because it was partially submerged, but it is supposed to be waterproof.***UPDATE*** The company contacted me and gave me a full refund on the product. I have purchased another one and am keeping it outside the reservoir for dryness and only running it 4 hours a day.

First off, ditch the garbage fittings it comes with and use real fittings, not worth the leak! Other than that, love it! Unit is powerful & compact. Status light on power supply is nice. The stainless steel construction is great! My old unit was plastic and leaking. Hopefully this will survive.
