I had a very hard time finding a suitable gate to keep my 13 pound cat confined to the upstairs in my part of the house. He had escaped every barrier one way or another. One could say just shut him in a bedroom but he's a big cat and needs more space than that while I am gone 11 hours at work. This gate fit perfectly, was fairly simple to install, requiring only a phillips screwdriver. My boy tried to get past it several times and it has stopped him. Just be sure to set your bottom lock about midway so your fur baby can't push hard enough to wedge through. One thing that I would say is it wouldn't hold up to a large dog with the plastic locks even though it is predominantly metal.

Not well made, returning item. Might be good for elderly pet or something that doesn't need much to hold it back from crossing threshold.

This unit answered our needs. It’s solid, no-drill installation, and most of all it keeps the cats out of the room. I seldom give 5-star reviews.

We bought two of these because they are easy to use and none of our five cats have been able to climb nor breach them. We have peace of mind that they will not escape our home when we exit a room that has outdoor access. We did have to purchase rubber pieces for the feet to keep them from rotating on our tiles and hardwood floors. Easy to put together and install. It does not harm walls, floors or ceilings.

I have a three legged cat that can scale two baby gates on top of each other. So, I was looking for something tall and without paw rests of various kinds for them to climb up. This fit the bill perfectly. It perfectly fits in my doorway. It was super easy to put together. It has little latches with locks that keep the doors from swinging in or out when you don't want them too. Plus, it's very attractive. I really love being able to open up the door of my office to to the outside to let the fresh air in. And, the cats love being able to lounge in front of an "open" door to enjoy the outdoors as well. I would definitely purchase this product again if I ever need one for another door way.

Worked perfectly! Got it to separate my cats after one suffered anethesia amnesia and was petrified of the others. It kept them seperated and safe while still allowing them to see each other and get re-aquainted. It is tall so they can't jump over and perfectly made so they can't climb it. The only thing I didn't like was the plastic locks - they have help up for several weeks, but one strong push and they would break. Easy to put together, definitely worth every penny!

Was afraid to spend this much money on a plastic gate, but it’s honestly exceeded my expectations. I love the closing design where it automatically closes behind you when you go through. Make sure to measure your doorway though. No real way to make it work for doorways wider than what is listed. Mine fits perfectly. I have kittens and they cannot fit between the bars and will never be able to jump over it either. I do have to lock the gate at all times because they’ve figure out they can push through and open it, but with both sections locked, they cannot. Very happy with this.
