Awkward button placement ruins ergonomics
Whilst the adjustability is good, the amount of buttons and the variety of DPI settings welcome; the button placement, unless you have very short fingers, is very awkward to make good use of and can require a lot of hand movement. The scroll wheel requires considerably clawing-up of the hand to use with the intended grip on the mouse, and its shape and size precludes holding it from further back. The side buttons are very awkward to access even with the adjustable thumb-rest, necessitating a up-and-back motion rather than being accessible quickly by the thumb tip as on other mice. The placement of the sensitivity adjustment requires letting go of the mouse entirely or using a 2nd hand so is terrible for quickly changing DPI on the go as you might wish to if needing to swap from a relaxed to very fine control easily. This amounts to worse ergonomics than a typical fixed position upright mouse that's a third of the cost, defeating the purpose of its customisable grip.

Review by an RSI sufferer
Having had acute RSI for over a year in my right wrist, then having physio therapy for 3-4 months, I can tell you that this mouse is a must buy for anyone who uses a mouse for at least 8 hours a day and suffers from wrist pain. What I like:- Ergonomic tilt allows for custom comfort, which is unique to this mouse, as-well as rest support for the thumb (also adjustable).- Sensitivity modes allow you to choose how fast or slow you want the cursor to move.- Build quality is good, doesn’t feel cheap. What I didn’t like:- The mouse ‘click’ sound is very loud for me, would of preferred a quieter click sound.- For the price, i would of expected something to feel a bit more premium in terms of materials used (feels like a large regular mouse).- Price is expensive.Bottom line:You can’t put a price on your health, this mouse is the best mouse I’ve used for relieving wrist pain, and for that, I would recommend this to anyone who suffers from RSI.

Lasts less than a year
If you use your mouse for eight hours a day then this will not last long term. I purchased this eleven months ago and the side strips are peeling away making it difficult to use. For a £90 price tag, I expected a bit more longevity.

Good for dodgy thumbs.
My husband bought me a wired Unimouse to try out as I have a bad case of trigger thumb (also known as gamer's thumb) and can't squeeze a regular mouse or my thumb locks. Months of avoiding using a mouse and a steroid injection later I'm trying to find a way to getting back on my PC, not just because I like gaming but because I'm self employed and need to use the darn thing! I was skeptical when I unwrapped the Unimouse but having used it for a week now it is definitely more comfortable than a horizontal mouse. I find I can just rest my thumb on the adjustable plate without the need to apply pressure so my fingers and wrist do more of the work. It's a little large, my only criticism, for someone with a small hand and the adjustable parts don't really help with that, and having used the wired version I know I would certainly have got on better with a wireless one which I may have to progress to if I can find a decently priced one. The mouse is quite heavy so the wire causes a lot of drag which doesn't help with any sort of hand/finger/thumb strain as it requires you to frequently grip the mouse to reposition it. All in all a good high quality vertical mouse but go with the wireless version if you can afford it.
