Needle sharp spikes - dangerous
While the blades are suposed to be sharp, mearly touching the guard should not result in blood. This is suposed to be a guard that is safe for gliding over the skin. In fact it penetrates the skin because of the needle sharp spikes. No previous guard I have purchased from andis has drawn blood in this way. I'll have to purchase a safer replacement. Very dangerous. Buy if you're happy to impail yourself or your animal on this. Andis - Blunt these sensibly so they dont penetrate the skin!
