Truth in advertising
I can't attribute weight loss to this tea because I work out a lot. I will say that one day I was sitting at my desk, and I started feeling hungry. I had eaten lunch about two hours before, so I couldn't figure out why I was so hungry. Then I remembered. I had skipped my tea. That's how well this stuff works as an appetite suppressant. I eat a small breakfast and lunch, and I tend to graze on nuts or other healthy snacks throughout the rest of the day, until dinner. This tea is what makes the difference between keeping that schedule and going out and binging on junk food. I genuinely feel full for hours after drinking it. It may be the placebo effect, but whatever works. As for the taste? Meh. It's not bad. In fact, I drink it without any sweetener. It's just not good, like some other herbal teas. Anyway, one cup a day works for me. If you have to add a bit of sugar to it, it's probably better than eating an entire meal, or worse, snacking on junk food. Also, I've had no ill effects in over a month.

Great, mild way to start drinking a tea that has strong purported health benefits.
I bought this tea because I read several articles about the health benefits of Pu-Erh tea and wanted to try it again. I also planned to encourage my husband to drink it, in the hopes of lowering his cholesterol. But my husband is more stubborn than I anticipated, so after a few days of drinking it, he said, "Enough." :DI hadn't tried pu-erh tea in a long time, and had kind of forgotten that I don't really love it. But the truth about me is that I'm willing to drink stuff I don't love if it's going to help me to be healthier. I'm nutty that way.Pu-erh tea is an acquired taste. And I bought this one because of its positive reviews. It's not a bad version and it's really quite mild and palatable. I once bought a loose tea version that was way, way stronger and almost impossible to drink. That said, don't expect it to be delicious. That's not why we drink it.Have I experienced the health benefits? I didn't have poor health or high cholesterol to begin with, so I can't really say. I'm pretty healthy - I like to think it's because I do stuff like this. So, YMMV, take it for what it's worth. This is a good version of pu-erh tea and a great, mild way to start drinking a tea that has strong purported health benefits.

Tasted like black tea - shipped fast and wrapped in foil bag - if you like black tea you will like this.
Tastes like black tea to me.. I was honestly worried to purchase it because other posters think it tastes bad but I drink black tea straight normally - no sugar no nothing just hot black tea and this honestly taste the same as black tea.. Maybe a teeny bit milder but I am by a very teeny bit does it taste different.Package itself arrived fine in a box not banged up - I appreciate that each tea bag is wrapped in a foil bag not paper (like lipton brand teas come in a paper cover over the tea bag).I am a 1--2 cup of coffee a day drinker and it didn't give me any type of caffeine buzz as others stated either - it's 5:40 at night and I am drinking it find with no caffeine rush perhaps others are sensitive?? I am guessing the bad reviews from previous posters are people expecting a Starbucks like experience - all flavored to a T and sweetened like crazy? No idea but if you like black tea you will like this it tastes fine to me. Nothing special it's just tea..

Earthy taste with great natural health benefits
I love this tea! I am a big fan of a richness that certain tea leaves contain. I actually mix this with earl grey black tea and green tea. I do this because of the health benefits each tea has. I then add freshly squeezed lemons and when the water cools a bit, I add a tiny amount of honey. This type of tea (Pu-Erh) is said to help lower trygliceride levels. I tried it mainly though to add an earthy taste to me "mixed" tea I drink daily. I recommend this tea as one tea bag has a lot of flavor. It came on time, and the price was great for ORGANIC tea. I will continue to order this.

Smells like fish
This product smells like fish when you add hot water - i've had this tea from other makers before and never had this smell. The worst part is i am stuck with an almost $9 box of tea because they don't accept returns! Highly disappointed. Bad customer service. Buyer beware.

Unusual flavor but nice product
First, let me say that I am not a tea drinker, but am trying to become one for the health benefits reported with this tea. The flavor of this tea is very smoky, a bit like a campfire. I brewed mine and then added ice and a stevia sweetener to soften the flavor, but found that, for me, I needed to try it another way. Next, I brewed it WITH a green tea & pomegranate tea bag and again added ice and a stevia sweetener. This came out great and I am able to drink and enjoy it!As for the health benefits, I don't think I've been drinking it consistently enough to really see any, but on days when I drink a cup of my tea mix in the afternoon it has curbed my appetite. I plan to keep drinking it and hope to see some benefits soon.
