I am usually one to do a bit of research before purchasing switches but I really couldn't find much about these anywhere so I decided to just go for it. I really like them! They sound great and the typing feel is also great. I am happy I purchased these!*I will update my review with a sound test video as soon as I get the time to swap the whole board!

One of my favorite kailh box keys!

The Kailh Box Ice Cream Pro Max switches are the first mechanical switches I've purchased since 2018. Can't believe how much the hobby has changed since 2018, these are perfectly weighted and smooth linears with a nice thock sounding rebound. Overall very impressed, these are such a great value and perfectly dialed in. No more hunting vintage blacks and hand lubing, these are perfect right out of the box.

The switches were pretty good, but I like to change switches out from time to time. When I went to remove these it was a struggle. I was using a board that I've used many time and changing switches is usually easy in it. These go in and greatly resist being removed. Almost seemed that the switch puller couldn't fully push in the retaining tabs so each one felt like it was being ripped out improperly. Removal was exhausting and frustrating. I shall not be putting them back into any board again.

45g is a little light to my liking but this is def personal preference. its a very smooth switch and it being box style that will give it some protection from the environment. I pulled on apart to check for lube. I barely saw any on the rails....it was probably zero lube. I saw a dab of lube at the bottom of the spring and shaft area, so thats good. It's already smooth enough so I won't lube these, but I will still deduct a star.

All switches were lube adequately. All are smooth with no defects. Good value.
