Summit SUP-036 Premium Multi Fit Roof Bars, Black Steel, Set of 2

Assembly was fairly straightforward, making sure you follow the instructions included as there are certain hints and tips for different vehicles. Mine is a F54 Clubman and there is a comment about making sure the securing brackets are fitted under the weatherstrips.Build quality is okay, some manufacturing/QC oversights with the final finish, some bits could do with a file put over them. The plastic is of good sturdy quality in my opinion as it seems to hold up well when tightening the screws etc.I would have liked the bars to have come with proper keyed security lock barrels rather than plastic in-fills to keep the covers on.I did find the bars need some fettling to get them to the correct width and clamping angles. I had help from my Son who was able to hold one side tight to the car whilst I adjusted the other side. I had the screws tight enough but loose enough to be able to dial in the fitment. They look OK for semi-universal bars. A nice oval profile to them rather than square bars.Make sure you check the tightness after a couple of days. The manufacturer recommends 100 miles, but I would be more like 20, 50, 100 just to be sure they are tight.Oh by the way, the Allen key that comes with the kit is awful. Small and sharp in the hand. If you have another better quality Allen wrench set, use them! Just be careful not to over tighten the bolts.My biggest tip is once you have fitted them and feel happy; make sure you put the rubber stripping in the adjustment slots as they whistle like crazy! It's a cross between a Police siren and pan pipes lol.Overall Im happy I bought this set, but I think £88 is a bit steep. Wait for them to come in a sale if you can.Mine were delivered by DPD and looked like they were pre-openedIve given 4 stars, but I would prefer to say 3.5 out of 5.

Good price easy to install

Left huge dents in my roof. Installed it as per instructions but it always slid around and left 4 dents that I cannot get out

For the price compared with buying Thule this is a good quality product. The instructions are not that clear, but I use to fit roof bars as part of my job so that doesn't bother me, this could be a problem for someone who is not use to fitting them.

Had them on my car now for several months used to transport 2 kayaks on a regular basis and had no issues at all, they are a good budget set of rails

Bought for Toyota Auris (2016). Instructions supplied do not fully explain for this make/model despite saying that they fit it. Also when in use it is not ideal for this vehicle as with a small load (approx 15kg) the clamps became loose after less than 2 miles. Returned for refund as not completely satisfied or confident that they would not fail and cause accident.
