I had heard rumors about "happy tail" but had never seen it until we adopted our newest rescue ridgeback. Her tail is harder and whips about more than I've ever seen. So she gets overly excited and hits the wall with her tail sometimes the skin breaks and she flings blood everywhere, all over the house. I love that she's so happy but it's a mess and I worry that it hurts.We had tried a different kit to cover the tip of her tail with a splint-type thing but that one had a hard plastic cover which turned our girl's tail into a potential deadly weapon. I like this one a lot. It's designed to fit the tip of the tail and it won't hurt anyone.

I bought for my dog who bites her tail constantly but as soon as she starting wagging her tail, it flew off. Waste of money.

My poor golden doodle. he accidentally got a wound on the tip of his tail and it would not heal. I tried everything, but when wagging the bandage would fly off. I tried every kind of tape, and even layering his fur between the bandages. this was my final resort and by then, the Vet said it was never going to work.My poor baby had to have his tail docked. He's still cute, but I feel horrible about it. this item may work for some, but my boy just wagged it off

Great, complete set. Quality first aid materials, including rolled elastic gauze tubes that are easy to unroll onto a tail or leg and a reusable elastic bandage with clips. The expanding cushion sleeves are a great product, easy to use, they slip on over the bandage and provide additional protection. There are plenty of sleeves included and they're a generous length. The tan self-stick bandage material is good quality, stretches and sticks to itself well.
