Great inexpensive beginner friendly knife
This is an amazing knife. It’s very lite weight, extremely durable and very sharp. Recommend this knife to anyone looking for a great knife for hunting, camping and hiking. Would also makes a great gift for that new EDC knife person. Such as a young man getting his first knife for the Boy Scouts or just hunting and fishing.

Absolutely Fantastic EDC Knife
Right out the box I was awestruck with how light the Bugout was. Like it’s really light lol. And it’s quite thin also! I have quite Big hands width wise and at first it felt a little strange to open (only because I’ve always bought very very chunky knives) even so I still got used to it very fast and now it’s one of my favorite knives to fidget with! that is the only reason I put ergonomics at 4 stars instead of five, it’s really just a preference thing, but if my fat hands could get used to it you can too lol. But none of that takes away from its sturdiness for its size or high quality build at all! One of the first things you’ll notice when you open it up is how insanely smooth the action is. If it’s not smooth right away just keep fidgeting with it and trust me it’ll be silky smooth is no time! I’m a huge fan of anything benchmade and the bugout in my opinion has to be the best EDC knife I’ve ever had as regards practicality. I quality control tested it and it passed my inspection with flying colors. And of course it’s extremely sharp, it glides through paper and cardboard which is what I initially tested it with. Keep in mind it’s not going to be ridiculously sturdy like a Benchmade Adamas or something like that but it is an absolutely fantastic blade, and if your looking for a high quality EDC this is it, and it’s worth every penny! But if you’re looking for something extremely durable and just bulletproof in every way look for something along the lines of an Osborne, Mini Adamas, or something like that from benchmade. Hopefully this made some sense and helps y’all out a bit 🤙

New favorite EDC
First let’s get the cons out of the way1, So light it almost feels cheap2, Little more stiff then expected out of the box (is to me somewhat expected but not from a $130 knife)3, very very thin blade but also a proPros1, super light, so light it feels cheap until you begin to use then you realize who well made it is.2, After some oil and opening and closing it’s super smooth. Much easier to open then the Delica 4 and almost and as easy a CRKT Caligo.3, Scalpel sharp out of the box4, Thin blade but very strong for its width5, Very ergonomic in my hands that are large and arthritic. Super Easy to open6, Handle does flex but in a good way.7, Benchmade Quality. This will replace my Delica 4 in most cases for EDC. The Delica 4 has a unique blade shape that lends itself to better cutting in some instances, such as food preparation. Still the CRKT Caligo beats it out by a slim margin in ease to open and close and that’s a $45 knife. Caligo feels better in the hand, but the Bug Out cuts much better and has a better blade shape. The Bug Out may not be for everyone but it’s an incredible knife. In my opinion it’s no way meant for hard use as the name may imply or as a survival knife. For an every day carry its near perfect for me. My Delica 4 and Caligo and a close second. It worth its high price.

phenomenal knife
I bought this knife as an EDC and for camping/hiking use. I have a heavy duty bushcraft knife for batoning and chopping wood and this bugout is a perfect complement to that. It is so lightweight. I had no idea how much I'd appreciate that. By comparison, my other EDC knives feel like lead weights in my pocket. Its minimal design is an inherent part of its brilliance. I love the scales. They don't feel cheap to me. If I try really hard I can get them to flex a tiny bit in the middle but in no way is that any part of practical use. I think the color scheme is really slick. Black, muted blade with matte green scales. I absolutely love the look. Blade is robust enough to cut through most things (zip ties, rope, boxes, etc.) and still slice apples like butter. Axis lock is totally solid. Zero blade play. Flicks open with minimal effort. Deep carry clip which helps in my work environment where I don't want others paying attention to my knife. Hardly notice it in my pocket. Lifetime sharpening by Benchmade. S30V steel - great balance between ease of sharpening, toughness and edge retention. Made in USA. Just hits on all cylinders. Only downside is price at ~$145. But then I realize I spend that much on a couple family dinners out these days. This knife is worth it.

Great EDC knife
I've had quite a few mediocre to crappy knives in my day, but recently have been upgrading my EDC setup and the knife I used to carry wasn't "cutting it". I wanted a folder that I could clip in my pocket that was functional, but didn't take up a lot of room in my pocket. Basically wanted a good tool that was there when I needed it, but didn't notice it in my pocket.I wanted a knife that had a locking mechanism that wouldn't get depressed easily after having my past folder accidentally closed on my thumb. That lead me to Benchmade's axis lock which is front of the pack in locking power and safety. That lead me to this knife, was also considering the Griptilian and Barrage, I'm so glad I ended up with this one in the end. I wouldn't drop into Fallujah with this one as my go to knife (would choose a fixed blade), but honestly this thing is super solid and let's be honest, most of us will use this to open boxes around the house, not defusing a bomb in a hail of gun fire. It's super light, but still a good size in my hand. It's pretty thin so if you want a really beefy knife body, this wouldn't be it, but it's perfect for slipping into your pocket every day. The lock up has zero play, blade was centered and it has nice solid feeling to the blade in use.
