So much to love about this keyboard but a couple of things that make it annoying at times.1. The trackpad buttons are LOUD! They are so loud that you annoy yourself and your co-workers if you use them too much so you have to learn to use the actual pad's tap and multi finger type settings instead, which is a learning curve if you're not used to using them.2. The actual size of the trackpad could be slightly larger as I find myself thinking I'm on it but i'm just on the part of the keyboard hand rest area. Maybe about 1/2 inch on each side.

If you see this review on a different item, then there are either multiple item options, or the listed item was changed.I picked this up primarily to carry in my tech backpack for use when going to a site where I may need a keyboard and mouse. I have an 87 key keyboard that is significantly smaller, but I have to have a separate mouse if I use it. I also needed a wired set because some hardware I have to connect to will not support wireless keyboards and mice.This keyboard is not as wide as a full keyboard, but it's only about an inch or two difference overall, so still not truly what you would consider portable. You'll want a bag that can hold at least a 14 inch laptop, preferably 15-16 inch. It is significantly longer from top to bottom because the touchpad is below the keyboard, and it is hefty and weighty overall. The touchpad is not as large as I would like, but it does the job reasonably, so I can't complain too much. The keys feel soft, and presses are quiet.The two pass-through USB ports on the side can come in handy, especially if you're working with a small or old device that has very few USB ports.

I'm really pleased with the Perixx Periboard 538 wired keyboard. It's definitely my favorite keyboard ever and I've used it for about 2 months! 😍 This was my first time using a trackball, and it's been incredibly useful. I've customized the key between the start and control keys on the right side of the spacebar to function as a scroll button, similar to a scroll wheel on a mouse. 🖱️ I use this with the trackball to smoothly scroll up, down, and diagonally on pages and programs, which has been really convenient. I achieved this customization using a program called Smooze Pro, and it's made using this keyboard a fantastic experience on my Mac. 🖥The keyboard has all the features I need, but what's great is that it's compact. It includes a number pad, function keys, and other function features like volume control, play and pause buttons, and search buttons. 🔊⏯️🔍 I appreciate that it's wired, so I don't have to worry about batteries. 🔋 I also like that it can be slightly elevated by using the stands in the back. The indicator lights for the num lock, caps lock, and function lock are helpful. 💡 Additionally, I find the two USB slots very useful, and the handrest area is comfortable for typing. ✋ The keys are also nice and silent, which is great for not disturbing others. 🤫One thing I wish for is that the keys would light up, providing better visibility in dark environments. 🌙 Perhaps a newer version could have RGB or simply a white backlight for the keys. On the downside, the left and right click buttons beneath the trackball are quite loud when pressed. 🔊 I wish they were quieter, but overall, this is the best keyboard I've had.Given its reasonable price of just $60, I'll definitely consider getting another one, especially since it's well-made, sturdy, and elegant. 🏗️✨ It's essentially a keyboard and mouse combined into one, and I've been able to adjust to it pretty quickly. I highly recommend this keyboard for casual web browsing, work, designing, or even gaming – as it's been an excellent experience for me using it for all these activities! 🎮💻

I use my computer from my couch with a big screen TV as the monitor. A keyboard with a trackpad is a must. For years, I've used a basic logitech wireless one that works pretty well. I've tried various knock offs here and there, even ones made for tablets, but nothing really works 100%. Either the keys are bad or the trackpad isn't responsive enough.I decided to give this one a try, and am glad I did. I was a little apprehensive about it being wired, but the pc is on the same wall as the couch, so it's not that big of a deal. The cord is long enough for my needs. It's not the nicest keyboard, but all the keys work. The trackpad works very nicely.

Average quality.

I liked this more for its mobility and convenience. When used in a space that is tight or carry it around as a portable keyboard/toughpad, this is excellent. I can see where a wireless one is better but wired means that you never have to worry about connection. You know it will work once connected. The touchpad ensures you don't need a separate mouse. The hub allows you to connect multiple devices without going far. The full featureness of this keyboard makes this a great value.
