You found it. Buy this chair.
This is what an office chair should aspire to be. Man this is a comfortable chair. You can add all the extra crap to chairs if you want but at the end of the day. People just want a strong chair that won't kill them to sit in. it's not difficult, this is the chair.Love it!

Well built chair that is comfortable, but has a few small downsides
I've gotten tired of getting office chair with fake/cheap leather or other synthetic materials that start peeling off less than a year after you get them. Fabric may stain more easily, but at least bits of it don't start flaking off in 6 months.I generally look for big-n-tall chairs, not because I'm big or tall, but because it generally means they are constructed better. I have office chairs from 20-30 years ago that are still going strong. They were made of metal parts and joined together at the back with a metal plate. These days, everything is plastic and the back joins the seat via the arms. Modern chairs are designed as disposables.Big-n-tall these days usually means better construction and materials, more like what was normal 20-30 years ago. This chair has a metal back plate that joins the seat to the back. It's thick and heavy. The back and seat are also sturdy. Once fully assembled, there is no creaking or uneven lean to this chair. The recline function and resistance works well. This loses a star for a few reasons. First is the tolerances aren't great. When assembling it, don't tighten things until you have the back, seat, and both arms loosely attached. If you tighten any of them before, you're going to have a tough time getting things to align properly. Even with just loose tightening, it can be a bit difficult to line things up.Second reason is the 'locking' washers on the arms don't really work. I have 3 of these chairs and the arms regularly get a bit wobbly because the bolt has worked loose. I kept the allen wrench for each of them and attached to the bottom of each chair with some velcro so I can re-tighten as needed. That said, I'm worried that over time, the bolt will strip out. I'll update here after I've had them longer.Last reason- garbage casters. I'm not sure why chair manufacturers are still using these old-style casters, but you are much better off getting rollerblade casters. Smoother motion, better for floors. Check my other reviews for the ones I'd recommend.

Stay away from this chair
Edited- customer service did reach out and sent me a replacement they did work very hard to satisfy my needs. Fingers crossed this one is better.I purchased this chair for a replacement spare chair we like to keep in the living room and sit in when extra people are over or when my son is doing school work and wants to be in the living room with everyone, the chair was holding up fine with light to very very very min amount of use, my father came to visit and didnt like how the couch felt so he sat in this chair for a good part of 3 or 4 days, on the 5th day the chair started going down on its own and would sink to the floor making it extremely hard for my 80yo father to get out of it with it dropping so low, after i looked at it i also realized that the cushion is almost completely flat i bought this chair just shy of 5 months ago and for this to be labeled as a 500LB chair is a joke, my father is barely 300lbs but is 6-3 and now this so called big and tall chair is basically worthless, not to mention i replaced a chair we had for over 4 years that was only a 275lb chair with this piece of garbage, if anyone is thinking about buying this chair i would only recommend if no one is going to sit in it ever but if your going to use this even 20 mins a day i guarantee its not going to last you more then 6 months, also all the reviews about it being very noisy and popping noises are 100% accurate i wish we actually sat in the chair and actually used it in the beginning so i was now not stuck with a very suspect BIG AND TALL desk chair, STAY AWAY AT ALL COST...........

Nearly perfect office seating for big/tall people.
I'm very pleased with this chair.*see below for update*The fit and finish are very good and it's very easy to assemble (and disassemble).I'm a biggish dude: 5'10” 250lbs, so most ladders, chairs, stepstools, and the like aren't really made for me, most have a 250lb limit, which I'm at the very top of. This chair has a much higher weight capacity and a lot of extra width, I could put on more weight if I wanted (which I don't) and still be able to use this chair. This is a nice, big, and sturdy chair. It has metal arms, a wide back and seat, the fabric feels very nice, and the height is perfect for my head. It's also kinda tall, even with seat lowered all the way down, my knees are bent at a perfect 90°.I do have a gripe and a little advice.1. There isn't much padding or contour in the seat, so after sitting for a while, the backs of my thighs and butt get sore. If the chair went lower, that might help ease some pressure on my thighs.2. The chair is quite creaky. Lubricating the brackets and all the contact points really helped quiet the creakiness down.3. The wheels it comes with are basic plastic rollers, I recommend upgrading to rollerblade types with metal brackets.Other than that, I'm perfectly pleased with this chair and would definitely consider another in the future should the need arise.Update Feb 17, 2022I have now owned this chair for a year and figured I would provide an update. The padding/foam is shot- there is next to no cushion left in the center of the seat. The foam in the back is fine, the foam under the thighs and to either side of my butt is also fine. Right underneath my coccyx, where most of my weight is placed, is the problem area. (Before you ask: Yes, I've tried seat cushions. The result is that those aren't comfortable at all because they create pressure points on other parts of my body, and more importantly, I end up sitting higher in relationship to my desk, I end up hunching/leaning over to work and that hurts my back. The only way to get the seat lower is to remove the wheels or swap them to shorter ones. I've already swapped the wheels once, I won't be doing it again.)Being that this chair was fairly pricey and it simply hasn't held up in the comfort department, I'm deducting a star from my rating. The chair is still as creaky as it ever was and then some, when shifting my weight to the left or right the main bracket seems to be the worst/main offender, the center post rocks a bit as well.My girlfriend complains about the noise my chair makes from other parts of the house, telling me to "Sit still, omg! Your effing chair is killing me." So the creakiness is pretty awful. The chair still operates as designed however, it tilts, rolls, pivots, and provides me a place to sit and do work. The fabric is in fantastic shape, virtually no signs of wear, and hasn't developed any greasyness, or smell, from hours and hours of daily use. I try to keep it clean, I don't eat in it, I vacuum it, and keep my cat out of it whenever possible. I haven't done any washing however- there really isn't a way to do that. The chair doesn't feel as sturdy as day 1, nor does it seem like it's falling apart, even taking it's excessive creakiness into account. It simply "feels" like it's 15+ years older than it actually is; that sometime in the late to mid aughties, this was a really nice chair, but it's really showing its age and will probably need to be replaced in the not too distant future.Furthermore, there's no way it would hold 500lbs at this point- if it was ever ACTUALLY capable of that. I would NOT feel comfortable putting an assembled Small Block Ford V8 engine on this (which weighs ~450lbs with aluminum heads). Like, that's what this chair is advertised as being designed to do: hold the weight of a car engine.Bottom line:After a year of ownership, I'm considering modifying the seat of this chair. Mainly because the cushion is destroying my coccyx and I just can't tolerate being injured while I sit. If adding more padding to the seat doesn't solve the problem, I'll have to look into a new chair. Having to put so much effort into what is supposed to be a heavy-duty and ergonomically designed chair is pretty ridiculous.I might do a follow-up to this follow-up.
