Fantastic bed, easy to assemble, I did this on my own and very high quality. Highly recommended to anyone thinking about purchasing it.

I was looking for a simple, off-the-floor wooden king size bed frame for a few months, and getting frustrated by what I was seeing in stores and online - options were either quite expensive, or pretty shoddy (sometimes both). Stumbled across this frame on Amazon - I'd never heard of Kroc before & took a blind chance on the specs, price & German reputation for quality. It arrived in 2 separate packages (legs from UK and frame from Germany) only 3-4 days later, and assembled it myself within ~30 minutes using only hand tools. In short order, I had a high quality, oiled beech hardwood bed frame that looks great, and is incredibly strong and stable. Perfectly milled & pre-drilled, all pieces aligned perfectly, and the separate Ikea king-size slats I added from my old bed fit like a glove. The frame is rock solid & doesn't make a noise - no squeaking or creaking whatsoever.I honestly couldn't be happier with my order from Kroc Wood - so pleased in fact, that I'll be buying another in the near future. I've got two old twin beds that I'm planning to replace with a new king or queen.

A really great product. Really easy to put together. Made of solid beech (a reasonably hard wood, unlike many pine or 'mystery wood' products, where a small child could deeply score them with their fingernail). Previous reviewer said slats could be easily sourced from Ikea (which was true and which I did: bought Dec 2023 £25; fitted perfectly). Only slight quibble is that the bed comes in two separate packages (one for the legs and one for the frame), neither were as easily tracked as they could have been and two packages requiring being trapped in the house on two different days, if direct delivery. Having said that, I got one for the guest bedroom and was so pleased at the build quality, slat availability, standard single mattress easy-fit and ease of putting together, that I bought an identical second one. All-in-all a great product at a competitive price. Buy this and *not* a pine alternative, which I've tried (they are rubbish).

The bed just doesnt come with any slats? The mattress just falls through. And yeah I can do buy slats, but then there is no place to sit the holders into?? So stupid and unnecessary hassle when I just want a bed to sleep in. ffs
