These stainless steel pipe gauzes are 1.9cm in diameter and 1cm in depth. They are a perfect fit for my pipe with the lip of the gauze bent over the rim of my pipe bowl, much better than the flat gauzes which I needed to "squash" into place inside the bowl with my finger. As far as durability is concerned, I'm 4 days in on this one now and it is showing no signs burn through, unlike the flat gauzes I had previously which were left with holes in them and "burnt out" after a couple of days of use. At £3.99 for 40 of these little beauties, I think they represent excellent value for money. Big 5 stars from me!

If you are troubled with tobacco debris clogging up the stem of your pipe at the bowl end these screens may be a solution. They are made from a very fine mesh, shaped into a bowl, and are true to the size indicated in the product description.I'd advise that you check the size of your pipe bowl before ordering as whilst they are easy to press flatter, for a bigger bowl, it is much more difficult to get them to fit a smaller diameter bowl. When pushed to the bottom of the pipe bowl they act as a barrier to any larger bits of debris clogging up the stem which makes cleaning your pipe a lot easier and less of a chore.I like that they are washable, and reusable, and so far this process has worked well. How long they will last over time remains to be seen however.Recommended for the right size bowl.
