Q: What recipes can be made

you can make everything possible. I bought it mainly to make smoothies, green drinks etc. After playing with it for a while, I can make the best mixed drinks ( not a drinker here either, LOL), all Kinds of dips, Icee's, I fry 2-3 lbs of bacon at a time, put it in there and it makes the best bacon bits ever. Anything your hand mixer or blender does is a joke compared to this baby. One of my very favorite items Ive bought off Amazon. Great to make chicken salad, egg salad, quack dip, salsa, I make home made lasagna sauce. Cakes ( batter with water/milk), all kinds of candy. The best part is that it self cleans. I put hot water in it with a few drops of liquid soap, and blend. Comes out shine and clean. Hope this helps, Mark

Q: How does this compare to Vitamix in terms of performance and durability? Thanks

I don't own a Vitamix so I do not know. I do like it better than the Nutribullet. Because the Nutribullet blades screw on, it tends to wear out and leak in the base. I've had to replace that blade a couple of times. There are times when it would screw on too tight when using it and I couldn't get the blade off. I don't know anything about the Vitamix product but I know people who likes it.
