The tie is made of a microfiber material plus a liner and overall is very thick. The result is a big bulky knot which lifts your collar. It would be best to only use this tie with a button-down collar, but even then it doesn't look so good. If you need a soft yet very strong tie for other purposes this tie would be great.

Can't really rate the product itself yet since it is lost and has not arrived. Tracking shows no update since yesterday. If it arrives I will update my review. Needed this for a wedding later this week. Not good that seems to be lost. Would have expected a replacement would have been shipped already since UPS has no idea where this is right now. Tie finally arrived and was exactly as advertised. Not only was the length good but the width is much better the all of the new skinny type ties. Glad I purchased this tie.
