Quality Soft Pastel Pencils
This is my second set of CarbOthellos. They work really well with soft pastel sticks because they have a chalk like consistency. My first set was in a tin and there were a few pencils with broken cores so I was unable to use them. This time I purchased the wood box set and there is no problem with any breakage. Also the wood box allows you to see all the pencils without having to lift the flimsy plastic tray that the tin set has. These are great pencils and I would recommend them.

Great Pencils!
The pastel pencils and the colors are beautiful and bright. The pencils are easy to work with and blend. These beautiful pencils seem to be made out of good quality wood. The pencil sharpener with the set seems to be made for these pencils and sharpens them without breaking off the pastel point or the wood. I am extremely pleased with these wonderful pencils.

Nice set and good-looking case
Nice set and good-looking case.. 1) Had some trouble when opening the case as some of the pencils on the lower case tend to get stuck to the sponge-like protecting layer under the top case; had to be careful with pencils not dropping and took time to put them back where they belong. 2) When closing, the inner frame of the lid was not glued properly preventing the lid to close properly. After a few attemps, I discovered the problem so I need to hold the frame before closing the lid. Need to get some super glue to fix the problem.Hope the pencils will be of quality when I use them at the upcoming workshop!

Love them!
I purchased a 36 pcs first because I didn't want to spend the extra money for the boxed set, but I eventually broke down and bought the boxed set because I really love the box, and there are more color options. The box was packaged very well inside the shipping box. I also bought Derwent pastels, but these are so much better, brighter and smoother.

Wife is really picky with art stuff only works with high end stuff. She loves these and on top of quality beautiful wood case and sharpener.

Happily Surprised with this Pastel Pencil Set
Wonderful paste pencil set. Comes with a sharpener. Love the wooden carrying case with tiers. Very elegant and practical. Nice array of pencil colors.
