IMAOriginal German M40 WWII Type Steel Helmet- Finnish M40/55, Size 58cm, US 7 1/4

This helmet is of good quality looks very realistic for WW2 German helmet, although it is not german. A novice would not know the difference. It is used as a display for our military jeep shows. The kids loved sitting in the jeeps and wearing the helmet for pictures. Good value

A few dings and chip marks, some wear and tear on the chin strap, and a little smelly, but that's exactly what I would expect (and was looking for) from what purports to be a genuine WWII Finnish helmet. There's some Finnish writing on the liner that I think says, "This belongs to [too blurry] Leppänen," which, indeed, is a Finnish surname. The helmet is a tad small for my head, but it's not as if I was planning to go into battle with it. ;-)Very satisfied. It fits in well with my other helmets from this time period.

The media could not be loaded. Ok so 1st of all let me say it's a nice helmet i would say it's a replica even though they say on the description that's it's not . If this helmet was made from the same factory where the originals were made then it should have a stamp on it even though it was not used in the war. All germen helmets had a stamp of the size and style . How do u even know that it came from the same factory as the originals came from? There's no documents you don't get anything that shows for it being from there . So I believe these are replicas. Now they say sometimes they get some with stamps but im sure they keep those. And sale them for way more . So if you're looking for something that's original.I don't believe these are it.These are good.These are very nice. You can try your luck and see if you get one with a stamp.

This is a fair buy seems to be NOT a modern replica which is nice. What puzzles me is that mine is so small that it fits perfectly to my 6 year old son , and is way to small to fit properly to an adult male of any size . it has zero marking of any kind to indicate where was made or where it came from nevertheless it looks nice, the chinstrap and pins were added brand new you can still smell the leather on it.

They are size large I'm not sure what these other people were yapping about

Got this assuming it was a replica and might be fun to wear mowing the lawn. Once I got it out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was genuine or a fantasticly recreation of the real M40. There was a dent and a little light rust in some of the scratch marks and the leather you could still smell. It may have been later relined inside but all in all, it was accurate to the description and for what I intend to use it for, is perfect.

I purchased this product for my grandson as a Christmas present. He was elated about this gift. It is in excellent condition and is a real German M40 WWII type helment. This was purchased at a great price.

Helmet was dented and the harness rivets were loose.some rust spots
