Q: How heavy should my weighted blanket be?

We recommend choosing a weighted blanket that’s around 10% of your overall body weight. If you’re in between weights, it’s best to round down to the lighter weight, especially if this is your first time trying a weighted blanket!

Q: How long does it take to get used to sleeping under weight?

We recommend using the Napper for less than 2 hours during the first three days and gradually increasing the usage until you build up to a full night’s rest. After around ten days, you should begin to experience the benefits of restorative rest.

Q: How are Bearaby’s weighted blanket different from other weighted blankets?

Unlike conventional weighted blankets, our Nappers are weighted with layer upon layer of sustainable fabric — no artificial fillers or plastic pellets. The hand-knitted design distributes weight evenly and allows air to circulate through the night!

Q: Are your blankets machine washable?

You can machine wash your Napper separately in cool water on a delicate cycle. After washing, tumble dry your Napper on low – it may take a few cycles to fully dry. Check your machine’s weight capacity before washing, and avoid top-loading machines.
