Q: can one remote control two outlets?

Q: Would I be able to stick some 3M tape to the backside of the mount for easy demounting without ruining the wall?

Yes. I have three units and all have tape and magnets attached. But if you use the 3M tape which can be removed from surfaces without damage you’d achieve your desired objective. Hope this helps.

Q: Can i use one set for one outlet and then another set for a different outlet and not have them trigger both?

Q: How long does the battery last?

I had to change the battery after about 6 months. It has since been about 10 months, and still going strong. It’s used often, as it’s the switch in our second bathroom.
