Fits BMW F650GS 2001-2003
This fit my 2003 & 2001 BMWF650GS motorcycles and is excellent. For reference, this battery does not come up on the 'fit' list for the 2001-2003 F650GS motorcycles. I wanted an AGM battery, no ongoing level check and fill required, because accessing the battery on the F650GS is a pain and the extra cost for a 'no maintenance battery' was worth it. I have ruined many a battery on my motorcycles over the years by my inattentive nature regarding battery level checking and filling. Every time I tell myself I will regularly check the level and fill....and then I don't.So I purchased the Motobatt MB12U battery, per the fit chart, and it worked well on the 2001 F650GS. No problems. When my 2003 F650GS battery (standard lead acid) went bad, I purchased another Motobatt battery....which failed in 3mo. I don't know why, the first one seems to have worked fine. A trusted mechanic suggested purchasing a Yuasa battery...which only noted a lead-acid filled battery on the fit chart, not AGM 'maintenance-free' versions. But in checking online forums for the F650GS I saw mention of this Yuasa YUAM62H4L YTX14AHL-BS battery, maintenance free, and that it would fit. So I took a chance, got the Yuasa battery, it fit, all is good. A great battery with only a smart trickle charger attached and no need for ongoing level check and fill. Perfect.Do note this battery comes empty, you must fill it the first time with a set of acid-filled tubes supplied in the box in what looks like a blow-molded pan flute, (I am sure Zamfir uses on his bikes) with each tube capped with a thin metal foil stopper. Filling the battery (excellent instructions) was easy....you line the tube assembly above the battery cells and press down. Simple. The cells fill and then they include a cap which presses down to cover all the cells.....so you never need to fill it again. Then you let the battery set for a bit to soak the glass mat inside and then put on a trickle charger. Very simple and easy.

Short term review-perfect for my KLR650
For me, the most important things I look for in a vehicle battery are: made in the US, correct fit, and long life. This battery is replacing the same model in my 2015 KLR650 so fit was not an issue. It is made in Reading PA. Battery life is unknown since it has only been installed for a few months. A warranty paper does not come with the battery but I was able to find one on line that says it is 1 year which is double what many other power sports battery brands offer.Overall, I am very satisfied.

Wouldn't hold charge and no product support, 12 month Yuasa warranty is useless
I bought this battery in May while working on a motorcycle restoration. I needed something to test lights and circuits but didn't use it much - but kept it on a trickle charger that I use regularly and works fine. I properly filled and charged it and measured the voltage at over 12.8.Over time I noticed that with little to no use that the voltage would drop. I checked for a drain on the bike's circuit and there is none. Now the battery won't charge past 12.6V, and that is not enough for the starter. The warranty, per Yuasa is 12 months, but the return window is closed at 60 days and there appears to be no way to get the warranty service. Yuasa site says to go to the seller, but I can't go to Amazon, basically.

Good Battery
Good, strong AGM battery, perfect for my 1974 Yamaha TX650A. Even when I was fixing the charging system, it would hold charge for a week's worth of commuting before needing a recharge (not that I wasn't recharging every day most of the time)
