No. I don't use this sunscreen anymore, but never burned when I did. But two of the ingredients are not reef safe. We are using Hawaiin Tropic Sheer Touch which states it is reef friendly on the bottle.

I don't surf, but it is not clear when it goes on. It is white and you can rub it in so it is not white anymore. I don't know how long it stays on.
